Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Built ROCK SOLID,I wouldn't worry if I only had this guitar to Gig with. NEVER had I had any issues with my oter ESP guitars.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I've only had this a day,so,I can't comment on this particular Axe yet,BUT,again,having owned other ESPguitars,and NOT ONCE having a problem,or having to do anything to them other than change the 9v battery for the Active Pickup equipped guitars,I Don't expect any problems,Theseguitars are built SOLID,will hold up to gigging and not be affected in any way as long as you take care of it,as with ANY guitar you may play out with.

JUST AN OVERALL EXCELLENT GUITAR! I wasn't surprised having ownded a few other ESP/LTD Guitars over the years. BUILT SOLID,Looks Awesome,Plays/Sounds as Good as it Looks
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Neck is Thin,but wide,A Shredders' delight. Very Low Action,Intonation is DEAD ON Perfect,the "EARVANA Nuts most of the ESP guitars I've owned had these and,they seem to really make a HUGE Difference,Harmonics Ring out,You'll get Sustain for days,neck is perfect for FAST Accurate runs,and you won't wear yourself out playing especially if METAL is your cup of tea,the neck is VERY Comfortable,Easy "Axe-cess" above the 12th fret,the XJ frets are a JOY to play,this guitar feels/plays as well as my HI-$ Guitars,even BETTER than Some!
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Not a one trick pony,the pickups clean up well,and also can get as LOW DOWN DIRTY as you want. They are Very VERSATILE IMO,You won't get a fendery "JANGLE" necesarily,BUT,you WILL be able to get some NICE Cleans out of these EMG's,Along with the "HELLISH GROWL" you'd expect from an EMG,ESPECIALLY "NASTY is a DROP - Tuned guitar,you can almost SCARE yourself with some of the TONE you'll get! :)

BEAUTIFUL Trans-Black Flame Job,PERDY AS YOU'D EVER WANT. Not one flaw in the finish,Seriously,just a BEAUTIFUL Guitar

How was the action out of the box?
LOW,LOW,LOW!!! NOT A BUZZ ANYWHERE,I'm an Ernie Ball Super Slinky guy,so,the only thing I need to do to have it play as well as ANY other guitar I've had,is to throw on a set of 9's,but,I'll keep the 10's on no sense wasting a perfectly good set of strings,so No Biggie. I have heard that the heavier the String guage you use with Active pickups,the BETTER,just an FYI.

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Gotta admit I was a little nervous about the Indonesia thing but I'm pretty sure I'm over that now. The guitar has a little weight to it (which I was hoping for)and really does have the overall feel of a much more expensive guitar.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I've only had it for a few days and I've finally had time to really work this poor thing over. I like it a little better everytime and I feel pretty confident that this thing is gonna hold up just fine!

All in all an excellent bargain! I was expecting a "nice" guitar but was pleasantly surprised with what I recieved.
Playability and Feel

The more I play it, the more I like it. Neck feels good, sound is excellent. The switches are positioned well and kept simple. One volume knob, one tone knob and a three way switch. Simple as it gets!

With these EMG's the tone is whatever I want it to be. I love these pickups!
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Beautiful Flamed Maple top. I did find one flaw in the finish but I'm hardly concerned. I'm a painter by trade so I'm guessing most people wouldn't even notice. Very slight defect in the clearcoat.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action was good. I'm gonna drop it off for an adjustment due to a slight string buzz. Other than that it plays really quite nice fresh from the box.

This product is made in Indonesia but don't let that keep you away from this killer of a buy! The fit and finish on this is superb for its price! I have guitars costing 4 x this and this one plays VERY well!
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Only have had it for several days, but it's rock solid. Highly suggest replacing the 9v battery, it started dying after only a few hours of play. An alkaline typically lasts for over a year with EMGs.

I've never been a big fan of ESP products. This is my first purchase but won't be my last. I couldn't resist the AMS price especially with EMG's. AMS shipped this to me quickly, double-boxed. It arrived in pristine factory condition.

I've been playing for over 30 years and I'm a huge Ibanez fan for their fast necks and jumbo frets. The neck on this is really good and very fast. I'm a shredder so good action, a thin neck, and large frets are a must for me. This one passes with flying colors. You cannot beat this guitar for the price anywhere!

Great EMG tone! If you're a rocker or a metal player, then you're very familiar with these bad boy EMGs. They won't disappoint. My favorite active pickup with massive tone and harmonics!
Finish

Finish is very good. I could not find any issues on the finish anywhere. It was shipped in the factory box and was packed well.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Action was pretty sweet right from the factory but there is some buzzing on the 5th and 6th strings. Not really bad, but I'll take care of that when I change strings soon. However, intonation appears to be right on.
