I started going down the road of lower power amps mainly for the purpose of gigging in smaller clubs, not wanting to haul the whole Marshall half stack in there when I can barely turn it up to 2. This amp, along with a vertical 2x12 is not only space saving, but nails most of the tones I need (I use a plexi model in my processor for that need) and it's super flexible.
