This is the greatest guitar ever built. sounds as sweet as a Gibson les Paul and plays as nice as a fender, best of both worlds I can not put this thing down the neck is soooooooo comfortable I haven't played guitar this much since I first started 20 something years ago ,thanks Eddie and fender for making guitar playing a complete and total joy like I've never known before .a true guitar players guitar made me put my new 2013 standard away, at least for now
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I almost bought into the hype that the wolfgang special was pretty much the same guitar, almost.
I have played both and just can't believe people don't see or feel the differance in the USA and the special.dont get me wrong is this guitar twice the price better ? Well no , but plug them both in same amps and settings and rip your favorite licks and tell me with a straight face that they don't play, sound, and feel different
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Easiest guitar I've ever played ,small and personal setup from factory was great
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
A tone machine , very versatile , would've loved a separate vol. knob for bridge pickup though
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Came setup really well from factory no buzz no dead spots
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Got the stealth , love it couldn't be happier
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
It's made in the us , so I didn't let the terrorist win! Hahahahah

You can tell from the moment you open the case this is a high quality instrument with fine appointments. The chrome, Floyd Rose and overall look of the USA model is superior to the Japanese version. A beautiful guitar.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Just got it - but have played it for about 5 hours in the last 2 days. So far so good!
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Excellent, high quality guitar with fine appointments that make it worthy of displaying and shaking the walls with a very fat sound.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Very low action! The neck is the best I have ever played - made for small hands like mine with a very thin feel making it easier to wrap your hand around it and the vintage size frets make it easy to hit the notes. I own a Peavey USA Wolfgang as well and I had to lighten up my picking style for the EVH model. Also the EVH is much lighter than the Peavey! The EVH is a very fast guitar built for Rock and Shred.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
I played the Wolfgang special and by far the USA model has better tone and warmth making solos much richer without changing channels on the amp. It has a a brighter tone than the Peavey Wolfgang, but not as harsh at full throttle. The Bournes Pot really allows you to dial in your perfect volume, and responsiveness to your playing - from virtually clean to blues to rock - very wide range of options!
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The vintage white is very elegant, looks more like french vanilla, but its stunning. The binding is not as pronounced but adds a nice blend. I really like that the entire guitar has the same finish unlike the black finish on the Peavey version.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The lowest I have ever seen. Reminds me of the late '70s Carvin DC150 - so low you can fly on the finger board without a lot of pressure on the string.

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Yes. It is really well made by the Fender Custom shop no less. Only ding I have has nothing to do with the guitar but the docs. They could have been more in depth with more info. There was no instructions for the Dtuna. I had to find a independent YouTube video to figure it out. The guitar has no faults that I can find. It is in a class above any guitar I have bought in the $1k+ range.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Seems sturdier than my otter guitars & the stainless frets would last a long time but I just go it so I'm not sure yet. I'm not worried though I have cheaper guitars I've owned for over 15 years and they are doing well. I can imaging this one couldn't out my other ones.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
I've waited a while for this & was not disappointed. It is truly the best guitar I have ever owned.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Very fast and smooth playability. Really builds confidence in your playing. I never jam up on the neck it is so smooth. I hear with time it will get better as your skin oils lube it up more. The neck is perfect for me as I have short fingers. It is easy for me to hit notes quickly & accurately.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
This guitar plays all a great variety of tones from smooth jazz sounds to shredding rock. Very playable. It will give you great confidence to play your personality.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Beautiful guitar. It stunned me when I opened the case. I have the black model. The detail of construction is great. The finish is incredible.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Action was perfect! I don't think you could get the strings lower without then buzzing. Easiest playable guitar I ever played. I had to learn to relax my fingers & not hammer down so hard because there was no need. The action make playing effortless.(if you know how to play that is). My speed has increase noticeable because of this.

Your general opinion of this product.
I bought the Trans Cherry which is why they AMS is out of stock. Glad I did!! Had many guitars over my 34 plus years of playing and this really stands out as my fav guitar. Those complaining about cost must understand nothing good is cheap. This is a well thought out product. I can tell the difference between my PV Wolf and this one.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
This is what blows my mind. This guitar feels like an old friend. Even better than my old Fender Strat or Carvin. I bought this for my 9 year old son but now I must get one for me. Smooth neck, love the controls. Floyd works well, no issues with tuning.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Smooth as silk but can rip your head off when needed.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Again a perfect score. Better than any of my custom guitars.
