Action out of the box was a little high for me..I took my to guitar tech the it got delivered and had it set up to me the way I like it. An excellent all around guitar.When you first get home have the guitar set up.The action is kind of high from the factory.Mine plays everything from Judas Priest to Stevie Ray,depending on amp configeration. I have played Les Pauls my whole life and this guitar plays just as well with half the weight.The only down side is if your are playing heavier music with the tremelo it isn't as good a floyd Rose.You don't quite get the same dive bomb effect. Had a ding on the guitar didn't notice until I had taken all plastic off its about 1/8 inch deep and ticks me when I look at it so check it well and I put dunlop strap locks on it and when removing top strap peg I noticed the hole was 2 times the normal size for screw and was filled with a piece of wood like a tooth pick and a lot of epoxy the hole was about the diameter of the base of the strap peg I guess that was another thing I did not like Action How was the action out of the box? Ok some tweaking was needed

Great guitar, love everything about it, it took time to look for the perfect guitar, so I did my homework and got this one and I love it. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? When I removed the pickguard, I noticed that the holes for the screws had in some instances been drilled twice! It's like the first hole wasn't matched up correctly with the pickguard so it was re-drilled. I was pretty disappointed in this. The small dent on the guitar was something that probably happened after the factory, but the misplaced screw holes was definitely something that happened during production. I would have sent this guitar back to AMS had I not had to play it that weekend. Also I bought the guitar to be a player so although it wasn't perfect, the fact that it plays great is all that I care about. I just think that for the price Fender charges, they should put out a better quality product. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Unknown. I've only had it a couple weeks.
