Reliability How has it stood up over time? Have had the guitar since December and it's seen a lot of use already. Has held up great so far and the SKB case is a real bonus to keep things that way. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Amazing! The stock pickups sound great, the neck plays new like a neck that has been loved for years. I finally picked up a Les Paul last month after years of wanting one, and have found myself looking at the LP and constantly playing the Strat. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Mine was a bit heavy for a straight at 8lbs. This was actually a good thing as this guitar feels substantial without being heavy. Neck is fast due to the matte finish on the back. The setup was great out of the box, but the addition of features like the microtilt on the neck made dialing it in very easy. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Classic strat sounds. Haven't plugged it into an amp it didn't sound great through. Bright, bell-like. Can get some real funky sounds going on in the 2 and 4 positions. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Finish was great. No flaws in the paint, and the neck has one of the best looking finishes I've seen in a while. Can't say enough good things about it. Action How was the action out of the box? AMAZING out of the box. I just picked up an LP that was plek'd at Gibson and this guitar was still setup better out of the box. Low action with zero buzz. It was great.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Superb quality. I have yet to find a guitar that feels and plays better than this American Standard. Pictures cannot even due to the finish on this guitar justice (purchased the Jade) and the fingerboard and neck are as smooth as butter to play. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've only had it for a few days now, but it stays in tune very well. I plan on having and playing this guitar for a very long time. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I would highly recommend this guitar for seasoned players or even beginners. It is a virtual steal at the current price and will be well worth the price in the long run. Very light and comfortable to hold (whether playing standing up or in the seated position) and as stated earlier, the feel of the neck and fingerboard is just phenomenal to play (smooth satin back/gloss maple front). Not to mention the fact that the neck fits extremely comfortably in my hand since I have small hands and have always had problems with guitar necks that are too thick. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone of the guitar is very clear and crisp with that signature strat sound. Very versatile for any style of music (maybe not metal but you might be able to pull it out of a good amp). Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The paint finish of BEAUTIFUL! I was torn between the red, olympic white, and the jade, but eventually settled with the Jade Green Metallic. Boy did I make a great choice. The images posted on the page or anywhere on the internet do not do this color justice so I can only imagine how beautiful the other colors are. Action How was the action out of the box? The action was set perfectly to my liking. The only this was that it was way out of tune, but it was nothing a few minutes with a good tuner couldn't fix. Greatly pleased with the out the box setup.

Yes so far it has been great and I have no reason to believe that won't continue, My MIM strats have been a mixed bag one was fine and one came from the factory with ungodly sharp fret ends that made it unplayable....after $70.00/set up then it was fine. How dependable? I went over my Strat with a fine tooth comb. And must say it is flawless. When you play this guitar, you just know it is going to deliver. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've only had this one for a couple weeks. But it's a Fender, what more can I say Overall Your general opinion of this product. Overall this is one of the best guitars I've ever owned. I prefer the brighter sound maple gives me. And the pickups sound warm and fat. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I got the sienna finish, and man o man it is just beautiful. all my friends have told me how beautiful this guitar is.

In my opinion the quality of this guitar is nothing short of perfection! The price is right and the fact that it comes with a hard shell case is a real plus! Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Looking over the Stratocaster, no problem with the finish it is perfect.. All the parts fit tight. Very solid guitar.. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Only had the Stratocaster a few hours but I have had Fender Guitars and Amplifiers since 1965. In all that time the only time I had my Bandmaster Amplifier in for service when the Power Light nut rotate down and short out the wires on the power transformer. Too loud and vibrating. So with that said I am very satisfied with Fender Products and I am sure this Stratocaster will last a life time. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Jury still out on the pickups, they are Fat 50’s and sound great. Sustain well. Nice sharp response..I am sure with time I will enjoy and notice the difference with my other American Stratocasters.. Action and Intonation is perfect out of the case.. Needs no adjustment. Trying to decide if I want to change strings from the 9's it comes with, to my Preference 10's.
