General What is your overall opinion of this product? Absolutely love it. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? Well I have the noiseless N3 single coil pick-ups in it and that being said this guitar will play anything. I use it for hard rock, alternative and even metal. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Its a very well balanced guitar. The neck is exactly how you would picture a telecaster neck to be. But after getting used to how large the neck is playing lead on it is so easy it practically plays itself. From sweeps to penatonics and legato this baby can do it all. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? As i said earlier, the noiseless pickups i have in it are just amazing. i can go from a standard fender tone to a heavy EMG sounds. Very versatile guitar Finish How did the stain or paint job look? great Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? great guitar for the price.
Just what I was looking for at the right price, thanks AMS

General What is your overall opinion of this product? I was looking for a guitar with a classic sound and look. It also had to be in my price range. This guitar is everything I was looking for. I have been researching the perfect electric to get for a while now. I once had a Gibson Les Paul but just didn't like it. So this time I was going to look at Fenders. I wanted a classic look and sound which led me to go play this guitar at my local guitar store. I immediately was hooked. I guess the best way I can describe the sound compared to other guitars I have had is to put it into this context. I have peavy express 112 amp from the 90's. I have had a Ibanez, Gibson Les Paul, and a Jackson Dinky. None of these guitars ever sounded great through this amp. Until this Telecaster. This guitars almost make my amp sound like a tube amp. Just a really pretty tone. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? This guitar is perfect for what I was looking for. I wanted a classic sound to play classic covers. But what surprized me was the great blue/jazz sound you can get from this guitar. I don't play country music but I'm sure this guitar would be great. This is just a great guitar for someone looking for a "jack of all trades" guitar. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? I love that the controls are easy to use and basic. Nothing is going to confuse anyone here. The guitar plays really smooth and fast enough for my type of playing. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? You get that bright and snappy telecaster sound out of this guitar. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The stain and the paint job is great. I did scope out this guitar at my local shop to see what exactly it looked and played like. I love the classic look that this guitar has. I also ordered the Fender Tweed Case whick came with a vintage strap and tweed cable. The whole package just straight out a the 70's. I just love it. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? I couldn't be more happy with AMS. I bought this guitar this Monday (cyber monday). A music store was having a 15% off any purchase of 599 or above. I called AMS and they quickly gave me the price match. So I ended up paying right around 765 for it. What a great bargin for this product. Not to mention here I am writing a review 2 days later because of the quick, free shipping. Playability How was the action out of the box? Of course I had to tune this guitar up, but I thought the playability was great.
Better than I ever imagined

General What is your overall opinion of this product? For more than 30 years I have been playing Ovations and Gibsons in hopes of finding the right guitar for the songs I love and play from the 60s and 70s. Then I tried the Fender Telecaster and it is all that I ever hoped to have. It is perfect for the songs I play. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? Product quality is what I expected. Fender would not produce an inferior quality product with its name on it and American Music Supply would not stock or sell an inferior product. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? For me the first thing I notices was the solid feel of the Telecaster. I enjoy playing standing up and with leather strap it is perfectly balanced. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? Depending on the song I am playing I switch back and forth from bright to smooth. I could not expect better sound from any other guitar. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The only thing I noticed that I didn't like was a bluish tint of wood grain under the Blonde finish. However, I decided that it must be the correct look and it did not affect the quality sound and feel of the instrument. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? Far more value than I expected for the price I paid. It was for me a perfect purchase. Playability How was the action out of the box? Strings were wound tight for shipping. I tuned the guitar and loosened the strings. Since they were "stretched" in shipping, they remained in perfect tune since tuned right out of the box. I would buy another if I could afford it.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? For a USA product I believe it's lacking the detail. The first one I got I had to send back because of a weak neck. Just a tiny ammount of pressure on the neck would make it go sharp. There were also small finish scratches. I think this may have been a return and a used guitar. No way of knowing for sure. The 2nd one came a week later and the neck was alot better but the volume knob did not function properly. Bad pot. I decided to keep it and just fix the guitar myself. The nut needs recut also. These are not players out of the box for sure so don't expect plug and play. They do need work. For this price they should come with a setup but it is what it is. It is a vey well made guitar but the attention to detail just isn't there. It's almost like, Lets see how many guitars we can assemble and ship out today. General Your general opinion of this product. I think for the Fender made in USA name is a fair price I also believe the Chinese are starting to kick our butts in craftsmanship. I think the Squier line is as good or not better than the USA specials and way cheaper. With these you are paying for a name. I have many Fender USA's , 2011 and earlier and have never had a problem with them and have had problems with the last 2. I don't know if I will ever buy another just from these 2 experiences. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? About what you'd expect from a tele. The pickups are good but not great and I will eventually change them out but they will serve their purpose for now. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Finish is really good. They say it has a 3 piece alder body but I cant find any seams. On the first one they sent me I could see them(barely) but not on this one.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Guitar is solid, the only flaw is the bridge pickup routing shows a gap on either side of the bridge plate. General Your general opinion of this product. Finish is very nice. The neck and action are both great. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? This is a versitile tele. It gives you the bright twang you expect plus the greasebucket tone curcuit works as advertised to open up alot of warmer tones. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Finish would be perfect with the exception of the over-routing of the bridge pickup cavity.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? After receiving this amazing guitar, an intensive inspection was performed. All parts seemed strong and ready for the perfomer. After my first show, I now know this guitar is strong and can handle the work that you put into it. No fret bites makes the neck smooth and fast. General Your general opinion of this product. This is a well made guitar that even you can afford. All American, all Fender, all Telecaster! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone of these Texas specials are powerful enough to cut through with expression. And the great feature of the "Tone Bucket" electronics is a blessing you will never regret. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? A beautiful white gloss is well applied and a strong protectant to protect this guitar for years to come. Beautiful!
