Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The pickups are amazing. Best tone I've heard from a tele and without the hum. The bridge is twangy, but includes the mids, unlike some lower end tele's. This is the best guitar I own and none of my other ones come close to the feel of the neck and the tone of course is so dam nice on the ears. I find myself missing this guitar when I am away from home and I don't feel that way about my other guitars.
