Really great JM. Better than most US versions in QC.

Product Rating Product Review Just get it. Ignore the MIM thing. You will be glad you did, IF you understand that all jazzmasters need a fairly intensive setup, including neck shims ands tremolo adjustment. Fully expect to have to take it to someone decent (NOT a GC-type tech) to get it set up if you don't have the proper tools and gauges. Sounds like sweet farts from angels.

Product Review The finish of the guitar is absolutely flawless and it was packed extremely well. However, it only gets 4 stars because it had a high fret as well as some pretty jagged fret ends. I expect fret work to be top notch in this price range.

Product Review Right out of the box this JazzMaster is ready. The appearance is as gorgeous as the playability. In the right lighting she even has a sparkle. Proof AMS carries affordability AND top craftsmanship!

Product Review The guitar alone speaks for itself! The beauty is in a league of its own and the sound is in that same caliber but the customer service is really what sold me. As I was debating on what guitar I should purchase I had tons of questions. My customer service rep answered every single question I had as if he had a masters degree from fender. Sound and tone I was seeking out just made sense to ams as the jazzmaster was definitely the right fit for me. I put my trust and faith with ams and hoped this was the one. 3 days later when it arrived I immediately plugged it in and realized without a doubt that it was definitely exactly what I was searching for in sound. AMS for the win! I’ve been doing business for several years and have spent several thousands of dollars with ams and they never disappoint, much appreciated for that !! If you’re interested in gear ams has definitely got my vote and has always made it easy but most importantly the customer service team is a top notch juggernaut!

Product Review PROS- American Vintage pickups are splashy and fabulous 1.Looks awesome 2.toggle switch on the rhythm circuit instead of a slide switch is a brilliant mod 3.Looks awesome 4.Bound fretboard feels solid/high quality build 5.Comes with a decent hardshell case CONS-(both personal preference and not the guitar's fault) 1. 7.25" fretboard radius not as fast as I'd like 2.Narrow vintage frets (wish it had a 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets) 3. I have a hard time putting it down. This is a bucket-list guitar, or should be.

Product Review I fell in love with color. Immediately I knew I had to have this. Was shopping around for the og J. Mascis but couldn’t afford one. Everything about it is fantastically spectacular: block inlay, bound neck, matching headstock, vintage pickups are buttery. But the paint!! Black-crimson/ black/-merlot-oxblood, whatever. Oh it plays like a dream too. I won’t go back to a Gibson

Product Review This guitar is just plain awesome in so many ways. First off, the oxblood color is really unique and looks great when cleaned and polished. Then you get to the neck and it has a very smooth glossed maple that is really easy to slide up and down with. The rosewood feels great too. It’s also a jazzmaster so you get all the tone possibilities you can get with the rhythm and lead circuits. If you’re looking for a really nice guitar that’s not over 2 grand, then this one is more than perfect.

Product Review It takes a bit of playing around to dial in to that tone as its versatile. But once you get that tone to your liking man does it sing.

Product Review I've been playing guitar for 20 years and over those years I've had multiple guitars. This by far is the best I've ever had. Plays beautifully. Easy action. Great tones. Looks killer! And the ladies like it :) Fender Jazzmaster all the way!

Product Review I'd been looking at this guitar for quite sometime. I've plenty of guitars (haha, not really never enough), but I had not bought a new guitar for quite some time. The 12 month payment plan is great and a huge help. Anyway the guitar arrived promptly and well packed. I've heard people complain about the hard shell case it comes in, but I see no issues with it. The guitar itself is so much better looking than in the pictures! It feels nice and solid and I was surprised that it was set up really nice. I didn't expect it to be unplayable, but also was not expecting to really not have to do anything to it make it comfortable to play. Sounds and feels great. If you are on the fence STOP and just buy it. You will not be sorry!

Product Review I bought a TVL Jazzmaster from AMS on their 12 payment plan. Excellent program. The guitar is stunning and much better looking in hand than on the page. The setup was not too good but guitars get thrown around a lot during delivery so I wasn't surprised it needed help. The neck needed adjusting and I restrung with Fender 10-46 250'R strings. Greatly improved. The 2 biggest comments about the guitar is the high E stings is very close to the edge of the fingerboard and can slip off. I have yet to have that happen. Its close but not a problem. Second is the bridge. It's a Mustang bridge with a deep groove to hold the strings in place but you can't adjust each individual string height. You can adjust the overall bridge height only but mine has a balanced height and easy to play. The sound is wonderful. It's very 1960's sounding yet with overdrive it rocks hard. Hard to imagine a better deal than this baby. Case is awesome.

Product Review I bought a "scratch and dent" version of the TVL jazzmaster. Had a dime sized ding down to the wood on the upper horn and some scratches on the back, but was $300 less, so I'm alright with that. I'm "upgrading" from a Squier J Mascis JM ( I have a dozen guitars, some very pricey, but I fell in love with the Squier JM). The 65 vintage pickups on the TVL sound great. The treble pickup doesn't cut through the mix as well as the Squier JM, but is a nice round tone. Where the TVL really shines is the rhythm circuit on the neck pickup. Very useful for flipping back and forth between the rhythm setting and the brighter 3 way switch. The pickups are a bit finicky with the hum depending what equipment/lights you are facing or standing near. As for the finish, the color is awesome. Looks more red in person than the photos show. The finish was poorly done on this one, the back has obvious streaks in the clear coat. Action was also high but should be an easy fix. Not sure if it's a keeper yet.

Product Review This is a nice guitar fit and finish were great. Tone is wonderful and it's very comfortable to play. Mine came however with the wrong tremolo arm when I ordered it i July. Fender shipped me two arms that again were wrong and as a result I'm still waiting for the correct arm from Fender which they assured me would have been here four weeks ago. I'm stil waiting. Aside from this issue not a bad instrument.

Product Review The overall fit and finish on the guitar I purchased is head and shoulders above the fit and finish of a made in the US vintage Jazzmaster that I purchased last year. The paint and finish work on my guitar is flawless. I like the fact that this guitar has USA hardware, switching, electronics, and pickups. Although to be honest I swapped out the bridge immediately for a Mastery bridge and swapped the pickups for Lollars. I think this guitar is a better buy than the almost 2x expensive USA made "vintage" spec guitars. Overall, I'm very pleased with this instrument. I didn't give it 5 stars as the case is really pretty cheap and I found the stock bridge -- although it is a Mustang bridge -- to be pretty awful.
