It appears to be as well-built as any of my other Strats. The tuners seem especially well built and thought out as they are locking tuners that are made to look like vintage split shafts.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I haven't had it very long but I don't anticipate any difficulties
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
I read numerous glowing reviews of this guitar in various places and they convinced me it was too good of a deal to pass up so I purchased one and I'm glad I did.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The "soft V" neck is really comfortable to me.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
I'm very happy with the '57/'62 pickups I might even buy a set to put in my '95 Strat.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The paint is flawless but I did notice a rough spot and slight bow on the single ply pickguard. Also being an 8-hole pickguard your replacement options are limited. Still nothing worth sending it back.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action was really my biggest complaint. I understand that various things have an affect on a guitars setup but there is no excuse for how poorly this guitar was shipped. Although I guess it doesn't matter that the action was a mile high since I always throw a new set of strings and a setup on every guitar I get.
