General Your general opinion of this product. I kind of took a gamble when ordering this since I really wanted an affordable Jazzmaster with the classic electronics. This model however does not disappoint and the quality is astounding to say the least. I've had some pretty wonderful guitars in my possession over the years and I have to say that this Mexican-made Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster is easily one of the best guitars I have ever played. Since AMS is offering an 8 payment option, it's a total steal. Go get one from the fine folks at AMS while they still offer the payment plan. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The quality of the guitar is quite amazing, the only gripe I really have is about the bridge tunomatic bridge. But that's easily replaceable if it's even that big of a deal to you. It only buzzes a little when you play it unplugged and the bridge does not affect sound when plugged in. Otherwise the quality is some of the finest foreign-made imports I've ever seen. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? This is where this model gets interesting. The pickups are hotter than your standard jazzmaster but it creates this dark tone that's both bright and and mellow but yet has that classic jazzmaster sound. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Positively gorgeous and I was so surprised to see the back of the neck to be laminated. Again the craftsmanship is amazing for this import.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? ONLY PROBLEM BEING THE FRET ENDS SHOULD BE FINISHED OFF IN A MORE PROFESSIONAL MANNER . NOT AS SMOOTH AS I WOULD LIKE THEM TOBE.THE POT SHAFTS ALSO HAVE SOME LATERAL PLAY.A JAZZMASTER OPERATIONAL MANUAL WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE.HAD TO GO ON YOU TUBE FOR HELP.NOT A GOOD THING.TREMELLO ARM LOOSE AND VERY SLOPPY WITH TO MUCH PLAY.NEEDS THE ONE LITTLE SPRING THAT ALL GOOD FENDER STRATS COME WITH. General Your general opinion of this product. GOOD GUITAR ,NOT WHAT I EXPECTED LIKE I HAVE MENSION Q/C IS EVERYTHING.IF MEXICO WANTS TO COMPETE THEY BEST LOOK INTO THE FINAL INSPECTION PROCESS. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? EXCELLENT BELL LIKE TONE AND RING THROUGH.VERY NICE COMBINATION OF PICK UPS.. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? EXCELLENT WORKMENSHIP.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I love the feel of this guitar, feels like a very well made instrument. General Your general opinion of this product. I love it, I also own an American Deluxe Telecaster so I was afraid I wouldn't like this one as much and it would end up sitting around looking pretty... I couldn't have been more wrong. This guitar is fantastic. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? You can cover a wide range of tonal options with this guitar. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Looks awesome, a beautiful guitar.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The build quality is fantastic. Its very solid feeling and all the hardware seems to be of great quality. I have had zero tuning issues with it. General Your general opinion of this product. Overall, this is a fantastic guitar from Fender. Made in Mexico vs. Made in USA is becoming a non-factor. This guitar plays and feels as every bit as good as a USA Jazzmaster. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Fat and clean. I like it. Breaks up well. Not for heavy playing but blues and jazz players will love the sounds that come out of this guitar. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Mine had two finish flaws when I took it out of the box. When the guitar is packed, the whammy bar for the trem is packed in the front pocket of the gigbag case that the guitar is shipped in. Any sort of weight put on the box during transit is going to cause the bar to press against the body. Mine had one small indent that was a bit bothersome. The fretboard also had a small chip of wood missing on the treble side of the neck around the first fret. Also a bit troublesome but after a few calls to AMS they were able to take care of those concerns.
