General What is your overall opinion of this product? Great guitar for the price. I looked at this guitar and the American made guitar for a long time. When I removed the guitar it looked great, took it down in the basement to play and found all the screws and nuts on the guitar loose. Also the way they put the strings on it would not hold tune. After new strings and tightening everything had to set the intonation. But for the money awesome guitar. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? Great quality. Can't beat the price. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Perfect action out of the box for me. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? Tone was good, not as good as Nashville pickups, but for the money they are pretty darn good. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Perfect finish, great looking guitar. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? I was a little disappointed about have to restring and set the guitar up, but with that said it is a great guitar for the money. Playability How was the action out of the box? Great, right on the money for my playing style.

General What is your overall opinion of this product? Absolutely great guitar! I have been playing guitar for 40+ years and I have only owned Gibson and Fender guitars. I would put this one up against any of them, any day. You do have to play a bunch of them no matter what brand you buy cause they are all different. My Les Paul has been with me a long time and it is a great guitar as is my Strat but when you need that Tele Twang you need a Tele guitar. This is not my 1st Tele by any means but I wanted another one and this one just was it. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? Standard Tele might be all you ever need in a guitar. They sound great, is built to last, and comes in at a reasonable price. Even though it is made in Mexico, it is still a real Fender guitar. I play Classic Rock, Blues and country. It fits all of them to a tee! Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This is the reason I got the MIM Tele. The neck feels so much better than the USA models I played. I spent a lot of time playing different guitars looking for the right one and this was it for me. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? Pure Tele tone all the way. Neck pickup is warm, bridge is very snappy and twangy and both together is pure Tele heaven. These new hotter pickups are far better than the vintage or std tele pups. I think they will stay in this guitar. I see no need to replace them or upgrade. A lot of the other ones I played MIM and Amer teles, sounded muddy in the neck position and I like my neck pickup to be well rounded and clear. These pickups are great sounding I am telling you. I am happy with them totally. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Fit and finish are superb. I tell you if not for the Made in Mexico stamped on the back of the head stock you could not tell the difference. It is as good as it gets. Could not find a flaw in mine at all. Beautiful guitar. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? Absolutely and then some. You will not find a better guitar in this price range or above for that matter. This guitar if set up right will play as good as an American made one. If you do a few mods it will also sound as good or better than an American Tele. Playability How was the action out of the box? Pretty good. These guitars go thru a lot of climate changes after it leaves the factory so I feel every guitar I have ever bought needs to be set up after you get it. It needs to fit your playing style and feel.
Just what I was looking for.

General What is your overall opinion of this product? Great value for the money. I bought a scratch and dent, and for the life of me, I cannot find a scratch or a dent on this guitar. I own both MIA and MIM Strats and Tele's, and I think these MIM just keep getting better and better. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? Its a Tele...nuf said :) Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Feels every bit as nice as my MIA. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? A little thin, but the p/u's and switch/pots are on par with other Fender MIM's Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Beautiful. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? A lot of bang for the buck in my opinion. hard to go wrong with the MIM Fender's. Playability How was the action out of the box? Very nice actually. I will of course give it the full set-up and treatment myself, But it came out of the box very playable.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? If it didn't say "Made in Mexico" on the back of the headstock I swear it was American made. General Your general opinion of this product. This is really a great guitar with the quality you would normaly find only in American-made instruments. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? This guitar has all the Tele sound you would ever want. surprising to me is that the neck pickup is alot warmer then I expected. love it Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I kept my fingers crossed opening the box. I did not see one blemish. I got the Lake Placid Blue and it looks better in person then on the photos here.
