Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I would recommend that you consider the "Scratch and Dent" merchandise. This is exactly what I wanted and I saved a significant amount of money. Reliability How has it stood up over time? General Your general opinion of this product. Others can comment about the good or less than good regarding this guitar. I love mine already. My comment is related to the "Scratch and Dent" discount I received on my new Strat. I save $200.00 and was very worried at the potential ugly surprise which I willing choose. When it arrived I was in shock. This $200.00 blemish is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! A tiny little divot in the wood which must have occured prior to paint. It is so small that I wouldn't have noticed had I not scoured the body looking for "Something". Thank you AMS for saving me such a tidy sum. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Action How was the action out of the box?

Reliability I'm sure it will be great. After all it is a Fender. General Your general opinion of this product. I was not sure what to inspect. But I honestly could not be happier, this guitar plays so good. It's a real fender guitar! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The feel of this guitar is nothing short of what I expected. I have always loved the play ability of a Fender. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Here was a very big surprise, The humbucker pickups are very hot. Bright and sharp A very crisp sound. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Absolutely Beautiful! I got the candy apple red And it looks so so sweet Action How was the action out of the box? For a guitar that just came out of the box, The action blows me away. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? many people wouldnt be able to tell the difference IF this guitar was priced 1.449$ Reliability How has it stood up over time? reliable.... eyes wide shut :) General Your general opinion of this product. Somewhat low on budget? but still wanna lay your hands on an eyecandy guitar with a trusted brand, good quality, ease of play, good looking, flexable and all? well, trust me this is what you are looking for. I kept searching the net, visited music shops etc for a considerable amount of time. and when I met this baby, I knew it... she had to be mine :)) this baby is the best for price-performance ratio. If you search some geek forums, you'll see that this has better factory settings, finish and electronics than standard MIM strats!!!. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? guess what.... G.O.O.D Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? want a bit more snappy= get maple want a bit= dark n smooth= get rosewood However! both fretboards can handle these sounds just perfect of course! what I mean is extra sauce... hot and thick pick ups over all Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I litreraly fell in love ( I hope my girlfriend never sees this) Action How was the action out of the box? goody goody

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? MIM Strats are excellent, no question. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Feels as good my older Strat. Solid, light, a true players instrument. General Your general opinion of this product. The Blacktop series uses Humbucker pickups instead of the Fender standards, and this makes a unique instrument, full of possibilities. Beautiful finish, beautiful feel, great sound. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Plays fast, most fast. The Tremelo adds that wobbly feel, although you will need to tune it up after extensive use. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Pickups are bright and growly. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Sonic blue. Yeah. I love this guitar. Action How was the action out of the box? Fender's action is always smooth and easy to play.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It is a fantastic guitar to modify in Sonic Blue. The tremolo is a tone thief but this guitar was made to modify. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Just got it. General Your general opinion of this product. Solid no frills guitar with beautiful Fender Sonic Blue. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? I played it right out of the box and even with the Mexican action it is a future sound machine. The neck plays quality. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Buy it and modify it. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The Sonic Blue paint job is flawless and insane beautiful. Action How was the action out of the box? The action was atrocious and seemed not to matter for the buyer from the Mexico plant... Get it together just a little bit guys.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The MIM's seem to get a little bad rep. on quality. I have never had a problem with any Fender stuff MIM and I have a bunch of it... Reliability How has it stood up over time? Just got it today, but it is a Fender and is a good stick of wood that will last if you take care of it properly. General Your general opinion of this product. I bought the candy apple red one with the maple neck. More of a burgundy color, but it changes color in different lighting. Nice setup and was ready to tune up and play, right after I got the strap locks installed. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Good weight and balanced nicely. Frets nice and smoothly. My other Strat has a rosewood neck. I am starting to prefer the maple necks. They seem to make the tone a little clearer to me.. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Just good thick tone. I played it straight into my Blues Junior with no effects and the tone was killer, even with the light gauge strings. I am going to enjoy this one a bunch. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Fantastic! It's a beauty and a nice addition to the rest of my guitars. Action How was the action out of the box? This was the cool part. I bought a maple neck Telecaster from AMS and I had to finish the frets. A block of wood and some fine grit did the job, but a hassle. This Strat came perfectly finished and ready to jam, right out of the box. No buzzes and it holds a good tune.
AWESOME GUITAR!
