Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The quality of this item far exceeded my expectations. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Played it nearly everyday for a month without a single issue. Have no reason to think one will arrise Overall Your general opinion of this product. I have to give a little background here. I am Gibson guy. I am a Les Paul guy. I buy several guitars a year and generally go to Gibson. When the Sprng Break Sale hit, I figured why not try a few Fenders even though I generally loathe them. This guitar has blown me away. It is a tone machine. It is a true player. Only let down is the single coil, but even that is not too much of a let down and an easy upgrade. For the price of $399 this is the best guitar I have ever purchased for under $1000 and beats many of the ones over $1000. The stock humbuckers are simply perfect. The bridge screams with brilliant sustain. The neck is meaty and dark with impressive reaction to the tone knob. My only regret is that I did not buy the HH version of this guitar in blue and another blackie with the Floyd Rose while they are on sale. I have not been able to put this guitar down. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Out of the box action was really wonky. Quick and easy set up and it has been fine since. Guitar feels perfect. I absolutely love the poly finish on the neck. The rosewood board is very crisp and responsive. Frets are perfect. I can hit artificial harmonics on this thing easier than other guitar I own. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Tone is perfect from the Humbuckers. A little bit of everything. The single coil is a little weak and seems to lose its voice. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Its Black on Black with Chrome. What more could you want. Action How was the action out of the box? Action was wonky out of the box. Quick set up was all it needed.

Once I set the intonation and tuning I haven't had to touch it. It is a worry free guitar. Overall Your general opinion of this product. This Mexican Strat is on par with, and may exceed, American Strats. You wont believe it until you play it. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? It feels great. Fast and silky smooth neck. Large (and good looking) nobs make changes quick and easy. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? You pick the tone, and you can get it. With two HB's and a SC, along with five position selector, you can play anything from Jimi Hendrix to Slayer. The bridge pickup is downright mean. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish is beautiful. Its like a mirror. Also, the scheme is outstanding. Black on Black with a small amount of white (around the pickguard)is eye candy. The chrome adds a nice contrast to the black. Action How was the action out of the box? Well, it wasn't great. I spent a few hours setting it up. Once I did, the action was outstanding.
