A Little Over-prices But Worth It
Quality:
This was hand built in the Fender Custom Shop so of course it's made very well. It feels very sturdy and reliable but what Stratocaster doesen't? I have no issues with it what so ever.
Sound:
Sound like a Strat should. Just plugged into the amp all by itself with no effects it sounds excellent.
Reliability:
It's a Strat. These things can handle abuse.
Overall:
This is a very good guitar. Just what I expected from the Fender Custom Shop.
Playability and Feel:
I used to have an American Vintage 62 Reissue Strat and this thing weighs a little more than that. The neck feels good and is easy to play.
Tone:
I mainly play blues and rock guitar and let me tell you, although I do feel that it was a bit over priced the tone from these babies is well worth it. These are special made custom shop pickups that you cannot buy retail.
Finish:
Looks like a beat up strat from the 60s that's been played to death. What suprised me was that the wear patterns make sense also: they arn't just in random places all over but in certain places you would expect wear paterns to be for instance, on mine both sides of the neck near the fretboard from the first to fifth frets the finish is worn down to the bare wood which looks like it was played extensivley by a rhythm player. Of course there's dings and scratches on the body as well.
Action:
The action was o.k. out of the box but a few adjustments and it was perfect.

Intermediate
