Great looking, great sounding!

What is your overall opinion of this product?
Perfectly set up out of the box; the Wide Range Humbuckers sound excellent; unique look is very cool; bound f-holes are a nice touch. Very satisfied with this bass.
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
Very good quality, no flaws I can detect. I use it for CCM, but it is a versatile bass. I'd use it for anything I had to play.
Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features?
Love the color, Antique Cherryburst. Headstock shape is unique to the Starcaster.
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Heavier than it looks, but not overly. Neck feels great, if you're used to a solid body, how it feels strapped on may take a little getting used to. I would align the pickup selector to go up and down rather than side to side, but not a deal breaker.
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
The three different tones are distinct and each is very useful on a bass.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
Very good value. Fender label makes it even moreso.
How was the action out of the box?
Perfect. I did nothing to it for set up.
