General What is your overall opinion of this product? In general, after buying and playing the guitar, I wasn't impressed with the feel. I know like all things, feel is subjective. For the price..and price alone, I would either choose a different model, or just save just a bit more to buy a step up from this model. The "Crafted in Indonesia" print on the headstock was a let down. Please make sure you play this guitar before purchasing. Could be a great deal for someone Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? The quality for what it is, is just fine. Great pickups, nice finish. I'm happy with the way it looks and sounds Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Don't care for the feel of the guitar. I fancy a thicker radius neck, and a little chunkier/smoother frets Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? I played this through a VOX AC15 and it sounded like a Tele, if that's your style then great at the bridge pick up. Through the Neck, its was nice and warm Finish How did the stain or paint job look? once again, great finish and look Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? I don't think is a good value for $800. Just play one first before buying it. Someone out there could really love the test drive...then sure go for a guitar that has "Crafted in indonesia"....what a turn off Playability How was the action out of the box? Not impressed with the playability. Neck is too thin radius, frets feel thin and cheaper than what I would like to see in a mid range priced Tele.
Not as great as I had hoped

General What is your overall opinion of this product? I read the description of Scratch and Dent and decided to take a chance. The guitar arrived with a large break in the clear coat at the top of the head stock plus a shatter mark on the top edge of the body. The damage doesn't appear to have affected the playability of the instrument. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? I love the Thinline design. I have to admit that the overall appearance and neck feel of an Indonesian Fender is far nicer finish then any of the MIM or MIC Fender guitars that I have had. This is also the first solid body Fender that I have owned with a solid neck joint instead of a bolt on. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The frets feel fatter than my other Telecasters but easy to get used to. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? The tone is unlike most Telecasters due to the double Humbucker design. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? This is where I had my issues but if I had purchased a new guitar instead of one from the Scratch and Dent area of the web-site, I am sure that it would have been fine. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? The value for a Scratch and Dent guitar was hard to pass up especially after reading the AMS posted definition of a Scratch and Dent Sale Item. Do be fooled like I was and just pay for a fresh guitar. Playability How was the action out of the box? The action and intonation seems to be on track.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This guitar is incredibly well made. It is somewhat shocking that an Indonesian Fender import can be so good, but it absolutely is. The neck is dead straight, and the frets are well done. The neck joint is superb. The acoustic sound quality of this instrument is fantastic, and it has great sustain. This guitar stands up to any other guitar I own, some of which cost 5 times as much! General Your general opinion of this product. I absolutely love this guitar. It is a true tone monster! The Duncan P90's sound awesome, and with the controls set up like an LP, there is a lot of tonal versatility to be had. It has become my most played guitar, and the one I take with me on the go. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? A chameleon in the tone department. I have found that a little experimentation with the volume and tone controls, as well as the amplifier controls, yields many hues of glorious tone. Hot, warm or cool, I can get what ever I need from it. I am impressed every time I plug this guitar into my amp(s). Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Flawless clear coat.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? General Your general opinion of this product. Really nice guitar, great value for the price. The finish and wood grain on mine is excellent. The pickups are the hottest of my four guitars. A lot of upper mids, very bright and lively without being thin. A great lead guitar and would probably make a great CW guitar though that's not what I play. It's not your typical Tele. I'm real happy with it. The only problem I had was the input jack was loose and swiveling around. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Finish How did the stain or paint job look?
