Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? From what I can see and feel, and having owned and played other squier instruments, this guitar is very sturdy. Take off the Squier logo and I could've been fooled into thinking it was a Fender model. That said, the tuning pegs were not to my taste, but that is nit-picking. Reliability How has it stood up over time? This has yet to be determined. I tend to judge that over a 5 year period or so. Since I have owned quite a few guitars and play live, that is usually the time things start to fall apart. But so far, so good.. General Your general opinion of this product. As I stated, take off the Squier logo and you could fool me that this was a Fender standard Jazzmaster. The finish and J. Mascis' specs make this a phenomenal buy. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? For sure this is not a telecaster. It being a Jazzmaster, it is a little heavy. Liken it to how an Gibson SG in comparison to a Les Paul. There is a significant wieght difference. Though that has always been apart of it's sound as with the Les Paul. The Neck is absolutely brilliant. Much more truer to Fender necks than Squier necks that say graced the Jagmaster. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone is another astonishing value you get for the guitar. Everything from the surf-rock sound that made the Jazzmaster famous to Telecaster like tone that leaves the player with varying sounds at their hands and one versatile guitar.. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish on the guitar is what first attracted me to it. I was in the market for a Jazzmaster and once I did the research on how the guitar came together and the components it had, the finish was just icing on the cake. Action How was the action out of the box? The action out of the box was terrific. I had no complaints. I tuned up, plugged in, and was ready to go.
Better than you would imagine!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The guitar has very nice dressed frets that you would expect from a much higher dollar guitar, the action is decent and the overall tone of the guitar is above average. The guitar has a wide range of sounds and I have yeat to try somthing with it that doesn't sound good. Most guitars of this price range are soley beginner guitars or intermediate. This guitar is totally giggable and stays in tune very well. Reliability How has it stood up over time? The guitar is well built and is very durable for the practicing musician. General Your general opinion of this product. I like it so well I have considered purchacing a second just to have in case. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The neck is very well finished and the fret job is above average for a "factory" piece. The jumbo frets are nice and well dressed. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The overall tone of this guitar is excellant and as said above exceeds all of my expectations of a guitar with this price tag. You could easily put another zero on it because it plays like a thousand dollar guitar. The pickups have a variety of great tones ranging from jazzy to full on punk rock. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finnish on this guitar is splended and the pick guard is a nice option (gold anodized aluminum)!!!! Action How was the action out of the box? The action and set up on the guitar was above average.
