General Your general opinion of this product. high quality well worth the price. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? very pretty tone. I love the rhythm pickup. the lead pickup is good & solid but didn't leave a big impression. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? good butterscotch however half of the body was tinted darker due to darker wood underneath. if you can live with that not an issue.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Very well made. Over the past two years I have become a huge fan of the Vintage Modified series Squiers. This is my 5TH "VM" and as expected, it is built to a higher standard then one would expect from a so-called budget guitar! Too many people see the "Squier" logo on the head-stock & run away screaming! What those folks fail to realize is that today's mid to upper range Squiers are very well built, great sounding, reliable guitars! General Your general opinion of this product. I would say that if you are considering buying this guitar and are a little hesitant because you're just not sure how much you will like it, just get it! You won't be disappointed. I am one of those guys who reads all the reviews, listens to all the video demo's and reviews I can find, and takes weeks to come to a final decision on an instrument or piece of gear. Even after all that studying I can still be disappointed when the product arrives, but not this time! I just love everything about this guitar! It definitely has the "Scooter's Stamp of Approval"! (BTW, Scooter is my nick-name, ha ha!) Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The JM101N single-coil Jaxxmaster neck pick-up is the defining component of this particular model. Anyone familiar with this pick-up knows that it sounds thick & mellow by itself and is great for clean jazz style songs and just as great when you dirty it up for some heavy blues riffs. My favorite tone is a combination of the neck & bridge pick-ups! The single coil Tele-style bridge pick-up sound is bright and, depending on your tone setting, "twangy"...it's your normal Tele single-coil. Those of us who know Tele's love that sound. Now put the selector switch in the middle position to combine that bright twang to the mellowness of the Jazzmaster neck pick-up, and you're in "Tone Heaven"! Finish How did the stain or paint job look? In a word..."GORGEOUS"!!! I have only recently realized the beauty of a white guitar and now have several. My new Vintage Modified Tele Special is a shining, (literally), example of that beauty. Combine that with the lacqured sheen of the neck & fret-board and you end up with a real stunner!
Just as good and playable as USA Made Fenders

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I am very impressed!! The Quality is unbelievable!!The guitar plays and sounds better than my 1966 Tele and as far as the Jazzmaster Pickup ,well it out performs my 1962 pre-CBS Jazz Master That I have for many years. General Your general opinion of this product. The buy was very much skeptical ,but I am ver impressed with the quality and this ax actualy holds a tune!!!! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? With this combo of Pick-ups you are able to make it sound to the all the qualities mentioned. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Just wounderful
