Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Overall it is a very well made bass for the price. I consider the Squier Vibe to be very close in quality to my Fender P-bass MIM. Actually I think I like it better than my P-bass. But the Squier falls in line way behind my '98 Fender Jazz (fretless) MIJ. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? For the price I don't think there are many things that could be changed on the Vibe. Sound How is its Tone? The Vibe has a good sound, but my personal preference on my Fender basses is a more smooth, acoustic sound and I get that with Fender 9120 nylon tape wound strings and that is about the only thing on the Vibe I plan on changing. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? It feels like a Fender Jazz bass. Thin neck, easy to move up and down. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone is great and the pickups respond well, but as I said above I like a more smooth, mellow sound on my Fenders and I go with the Fender 9120 nylon tape wound strings to get that sound. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish is perfect with no flaws. Action How was the action out of the box? The action was set very well on my bass right from the start. Low for easy play.
