Great inexpensive bass

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
This was a very well made bass. Out of the box it needed a few minor changes, but I love this thing! You could use it for any style of music and it's definately good for gigs.
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
I like the vintage feel to it. No problems with the jack at all. no problem with the control knobs or tuners either. It stays in tune very well.
Your general opinion of this product.
I think this is great for any beginner or intermediate player, or if you are tight on cash. Just because it's a Squire doesn't mean it lacks quality. this thing is great and you'll love it when you get yours.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
It's your usuall jazz bass sound, thick and crucnhy or bright. This thing is great for all genres.
How did the stain or paint job look?
It has a beautiful sunburst finish. If you chip it, it wont be a maple color like Pastorius because it's made of Basswood, not maple. It had an orange color under it, but it looks cool if you would happend to scratch it. It's not easy paint to scratch though, dont worry.
