It should last a life time, but I do worry about the plastic latches, they are giant size, but each time I release them I think of one snapping off. The guitar needed all 6 strings tuned lower on the meter. The inside is well cushioned and I never worried about a broken guitar. Maybe all of tuning heads were tweeked the same way when it fell.
