I have a Strat also but this guitar just "fits" me. The neck and body are well balanced and all of the controls are out of the way for playing but right where you want them. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Vintage pick-ups are bright to warm tones. These are wired as the original '52 models were. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Perfect! No flaws anywhere. Action How was the action out of the box? Fast and very smooth. NO buzzing.
