Its been a workhorse of a guitar... taken on tour, gigged with, practiced, etc.... Holds up just like it should Overall Your general opinion of this product. I bought his guitar over 18 months ago. I love this guitar and have reviewed it before. I will say it is my main strat. I own a Gibson LP DC Standard, and a 50's roadworn Strat. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? Overall Your general opinion of this product. Let me preface this review with this....I own 7 (!!!??) of these guitars in EVERY color of the series! I'm NOT crazy! I just LOVE the neck, frets, BIG headstock, and finish of these guitars! I thing the Highway One Hss is a very solid, resonant, toneful piece of wood. The pickups absolutely SUCK!!! The tuners are pieces of garbage!!! I've changes ALL the pickups and tuners on ALL 7 guitars and now...they rival Custom Shop instruments!! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? STOCK PICKUPS SUCK!!! Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Made very well. I can't find any "shortcuts". I know that some may think the finish may count as a shortcut, but I think it actually helps give the guitar a better overall sound...Plus I love how the satin finish looks! Reliability How has it stood up over time? It's a Fender! I just got it, but I don't expect any problems. Overall Your general opinion of this product. An American made Fender for $700! The action was good right out of the box. The pickups are great! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? It is a Strat, so it sounds like a Strat. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I love the finish...I like the satin paint. I am however, switching out the pickguard just to make it a little more personalized.
