How dependable? very well made, I was telling my guitar tech that the blacktop MIM strat plays as good as my american he said it is a american strat because there is not a fender shop in mexico. Fender makes the necks and bodies in america and sends them to mexico for assebly then they are sent back to the us for inspection and set up. Reliability How has it stood up over time? i ve only had it for a month but i play it at least 4 hours a day and it seems to be very reliable . General Your general opinion of this product. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It is a MIM Fender, but specs are close to an American made Fender. Alder body, 9.5 radius neck, medium jumbo frets. Feels and plays like a Fender. Still not very happy with the fact that it ended up in the shop less than a week after I got it. Now I have to wait at least 2 more weeks until the new pickup comes in, and my tech installs it. Reliability How has it stood up over time? SEE ABOVE... General Your general opinion of this product. Guitar plays great, feels nice. Unfortunately, I had it for 4 days and it ended up at a Factory Authorized Service Center for repair. Bridge pickup no good. Had to adjust after adding in a 4th spring to the bridge. Floating bridges are a pain when you play with heavy gauge strings. Plus, it was too soft for me. I like my tremolo's stiff. Once that was adjusted, all was good...kind of forgot what it feels like already.
