Had high hopes, was disappointed with the details, fret ends really stick out.

General What is your overall opinion of this product? The neck and frets are exposed and are very sharp when you play across this. The overall view looks cheap. If I reviewed this item in the store I would have expected Squire at the headstock not fender. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? The neck of the guitar is cheap and appears to be falling apart already. I've had the guitar for a few days. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Cheap thin and will not last. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? The tone appears okay and sounds like a fender. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Not good and already chipping and separating. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? Not really a value. For $700 I expect more from Fender. I have several Fenders and this by far is the worst. Playability How was the action out of the box? I don't want to play it because i'm afraid it will fall apart.
Terrific..

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Thia is an exceptional guitar of great quality. Don't be put off that it is made in Mexico. I have owned American made Strats and I can't tell the difference in quality. General Your general opinion of this product. Great price for this guitar. I especially love the soft V neck. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I find it great for playing blues and rockabilly. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The surf green is a beautiful looking guitar. Love the finish.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This guitar is well made by any standard. General Your general opinion of this product. I was very impressed, with the value for the dollar. I own several Fender Strats and Teles and this is now my main "onstage" guitar. I am very satisfied with it. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I was knocked out by the tone. I expected to have to repalce the pickups but the factory tone suits me fine. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish is top notch. It has that old Strat look and feel.
