This guitar embodies the origins of one of America's most beloved guitars. Very good for blues and classic rock. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? With vintage frets, a 7.25 radius and soft "v" shape, the neck makes fast playing easy as cake. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? True to the old 50s models, the tone is semi-bright and sort of thin, with exception of the neck and middle pickups. The neck pup gets a great blues thickness, but the bridge is a bit to thin. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The tinted maple neck is a beaut and the paint job (mine is daphne blue) is wonderful. Action How was the action out of the box? Action came nice and low, which made for easy and fast playing.
