The fact that they do payment plans is a true blessing on top of that. After many purchases I've never been let down and really don't shop anywhere else now!

Product Review I had a '68 Super Reverb ($400 new back then!) which I sold back in the 1970's. Loved it! Big mistake parting with it (look what their selling for now!). I recently tried a Fender Champion 40. The Champ was a good amp, but just didn't match the tone and warmth of a tube amp. My '65 Deluxe Reverb is ear candy! Although it lacks the "horsepower" of the Super (my gig days are behind me now so I don't need it), it still has enough muscle to rattle your teeth and fill the room. More importantly it was instant smiles and fond memories the minute I fired it up! My Strat, '61 SG and Fender Acoustic (all from AMS!) lit it up! I couldn't be more pleased and impressed. Highly recommend the amp and AMS! Ordered Friday, arrived Sunday, and their payment plans make getting my gear from them simple, easy, affordable and a "no-brainer". My next purchase is already in my cart! High fives to AMS for excellent product lines and outstanding customer service! While it's nice to see and touch something before you buy it, AMS has been very dependable and reliable. Well worth waiting 2-3 days to avail yourself of the value and service(s) they provide!

Product Review Playing thru many amps in my day, the 65 reissue Deluxe reverb offers the most spot on tone and coverage throughout. Most reasonably priced for the quality and sound that can’t be matched. The cleans are full at every level, and you can get just the right amount of dirt to warm your taste buds. Pedals run great thru this amp, and what I love most is, when cranked up it is not piercing to your ears. Rock your Socks off boys and girls !!!

Product Review I was looking for a good grab and go amp to do quick gigs with and based on a number of reviews and a few buddy’s I was pointed in this direction. Amp has great breakup at easily doable volumes and takes pedals great. The reverb is amazing and vibrato sounds thick and lush. Overall being a Marshall guy and owning a number of stacks I was skeptical, but this amp has definitely opened my eyes and absolutely love the dynamics you get out of it.

Product Review I love the Fender Princeton Reverb RI! It’s the perfect little amp and it’s super practical. I’ve previously owned Twin Reverbs, Deluxe Reverbs and many other Fender amps, but I keep coming back to this one. It’s a great foundation for pedals and has been plenty loud for me in both the practice space with loud drummers and at shows. I definitely recommend it!

Product Review I gave my thoughts on this amp previously too soon. After experimenting with different tones I started to realize the amp was too harsh/ice pick sounding. It was okay but I felt something was lacking. I sent it away to be modded and my modder whom is someone I trust and is well respected advised that the control board was bad and he understood why I was frustrated. It couldn't even be modded. I advised him to do what he had to do to get it right. He secured a replacement board for me and completed the mods and now this amp is awesome. The sustain and balance is amazing. The tones are better than what I hoped for. In addition my modder charged nothing for the replacement board or extra work involved figuring this out. I only paid the original agreed upon price for his mod which we had agreed upon before the issues came up. Thank you Benjamin Fargen at Fargen Amps. Your the best.

Product Review Exactly what I hoped it would be right out of the box. Vintage Fender tone all the way. I was worried it wouldn't be loud enough. I almost bought a Twin instead but I'm glad I didn't. I rehearse somewhat loud and I have the volume set at 4 1/2 which leaves room to spare in a live setting. This amp is well worth the money and easy to dial in right out of the box. I do use a Tube Screamer with all settings at noon just for a bit of "juice" but I would have no problem using this amp without it. Great job Fender!!!!!

Product Review The minute I plugged into this amp I new it was what I was looking for. Pure,Natural,Musical,Tone. I rely on pedals to shape my tone and have never used an amp that accepts pedals so well. As a Twin Reverb user the tone is similar but this amp seemed to have a bit more warmth. Twins have to get to a certain volume to achieve this and by that time it is usually to loud! It is also much easier to transport and the volume is more manageable on smaller stages. Regardless of where my settings are the Deluxe Reverb sounds awesome! As a stage amp or studio amp it works equally as well. I will definitely use this as my go to amp !!

Product Review I bought this Deluxe Reverb after 30 years of not owning an amp or playing or owning an electric guitar. I had been playing acoustic for all that time. But I started listening to the blues again, bought a Strat and now the Deluxe Reverb. It is the perfect partner to my Strat. It does everything I want it to do. I love that clean Fender tone that all the Fender reissue amps have. It is not breaking up much even when turned up to 6 or 7. Plenty of head room. I wanted an amp with no frills that I could supplement with pedals and with just a compressor and overdrive I am getting the tones I want. My only wish would be that it had a midrange control in addition to treble and bass. But I am very happy with my purchase and for now it suits all my needs.

Your general opinion of this product. Just recieved about a week ago. Seems good, but time will tell. Quality seems good. But mine makes a popping sound when turned off, but it is a dent and scratch item so... Just a few more points: I also own a Frontman 65R, which costed new less than a 5th the price of a new Deluxe Reverb, and it has the larger Sphinx glides instead of the cheap smaller, screwless, hammered-on type on the Deluxe. It also has 6 metal amp corner guards (zero for the Deluxe), a four-screw carrying handle (two-screw on the Deluxe). But I guess that's all in keeping with the vintage look. But I would rather have the better hardware. Everything don't have to be like the original after all, the tone being the most important. The 65R also only weighs 32 lbs versus the Deluxe's 42 lbs. But I guess those are little things to tolerate if you want to get better tone. The Deluxe's much larger Accutronics four-spring Reverb is definitely vastly superior. Good tone. But is it worth 5X the price of a good solid-state? I'm still deciding that one as I compare them side by side at home...

Your general opinion of this product. Overall good sounding amp. It doesn't sound as good as the wine red limited edition with the Jensen P12Q speaker. This one came with a Jensen C12Q. I'll probable upgrade to a Weber 12a125 as suggested by fenderguru.com I was glad this one didn't have the tremolo pecking sound. It does have a little hiss. My "77 Princeton is quieter at idle. Maybe it'll calm down after a break in period. I'm keeping it. It's a little heavy to lug in and out of the SUV.

For a pcb amp.you can't ask for much more.It should last you a lifetime of gigging if you don't throw it around. It's a Fender need I say more. Your general opinion of this product. One of the sweetest sounding amps ever made.Play one and you'll be hooked! Set it to the way you like it with your guitar volume on low (maybe 1-1 1/2) then tweek it with your baby finger to get your distortion and overdrive. It's a deluxe reverb. You can't get a better sounding small to midsized amp without spending about 1000 dollars more And then the fender will probably sound better. It's tolex.what else can I say? DNA

This is a great amp overall. However, it started blowing fuses one day. I did some troubleshooting and was convinced it was a power tube, but no. I took it to my tech, He pulled the tubes and started testing by puttin gthe rectifier tube in first and gave it a sharp tap with his finger. It sparked inside. Problem solved. I'm back in business and still love this baby. No problems other than a bad rectifier tube in the three years I've owned it. Your general opinion of this product. It's a great all around amp. I recommend it. Kind of on the bright side. I recently replaced the stock speaker with an Eminence Wizard. I love it. I tried a Cannabis Rex but settled on the Wizard. Standard Model T black. Works for me.

1 person found this review helpful.

Fender amps are known for being well built, they have been making this amp for a long time, longer than most other amps have been made. Which is a sigh of quality and reliable service. It should last me a long time. I had an original '66 Deluxe Reverb for almost 20 years. Never any real issues. Sorry I sold it, but this is a good replacement. Your general opinion of this product. Like it. I play Jazz guitar as well as Country, Blues and Rock. Don't need a bigger amp or a High Gain amp this amp does it all. NA I think Fender got it right with this amp. The controls all work like they should, lots of variation in tones. The volume control has a nice sweep to it(NO LOUD BLAST AT 2 OR 3 easy to adjust the right volume. I love the vibrato. I was looking at buying a used amp but thought I'd take a chance on this amp. Used amps ofter have issues or someone's mods I wouldn't want, and you never know how some one treated it, or how hard the pushed it. I made the right choice. It looks brand new, no scraches or dents, nothing I could find. Only thing I can figure is it must have been a return because the reverb didn't work, the reason for this was easy to fix, the RCA jacks for the reverb were reversed. I switched then around and it came to life. Nice. NA I'd like to say Thank You AMS!

I play in a 9 pc. Western Swing/Rockabilly band, with a Harlem Stride pianist, as well as a Blues band. I play an average of 8 shows a month. I've been using this amp exclusively for about three years now. It has performed flawlessly and has GREAT tone for cleans and great light distortion when I crank it up for(early Chicago style) Blues. All my other amps have been just collecting dust since I got my DRRI. In three years of 7-8 shows a month, it only had one problem. One of the power tubes fell out while I was driving, and it sounded terrible. During the break, I checked it over, found the tube, plugged it back in and was back in business. Your general opinion of this product. Tone is PERFECT!! I love this amp! Lush tube driven reverb and great versatillity. Don't much like carrying it, but it's definitely worth it. That signature Fender tube tone and reverb. Best tone of all the Fenders Great finish Amps don't have action!

Seems well built. We'll see Your general opinion of this product. Great product. A valid attempt at bringing back the "Black Face" sound and feel! Playability is great. Responds to playing and takes effects pedals very well. Has THE Fender sound right out of the box. The scooped mid sound of the blackface amps - warm and juicy. But a mid-heavy pedal can turn it into a rock machine. Plenty of power and headroom for most situations. Bought a 'Scratch and Dent' and was expecting it to have some marks, etc. Was shocked when it arrived in mint condition with only a slight mark on the floor switch! Excellent!! Worked great. Plugged in, turned on and fell in love.

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
3. It has that fender "chime" on the vibrato and reverb, but I beg to differ with the notion that this amp will stand up to a club jam. Won't go over the drums without being miked and when you crank it you don't get a musical distortion...rather, it sounds like a old Princeton Reverb crank, but just a little louder. I am really disappointed, as I wanted I lighter amp to take to blues jam sessions as I was dupp'd with the promise that it would hold up. Well, it sure makes a good recording amp with a sm57 right up on it...other than that, Stevie Ray Vaughn tone it is not!!!!

FEATURES:
3.For the price, the reverb and the vibrato have that vintage sound which is convincing enough to say that it sound 'very" vintage. It is light and has a little more balls than a vintage Princeton reverb. But, I will tell you...I would rather come on stage and mike a vintage Princeton, than try to fool anyone. I guess, it's best quality is that it delivers

The amp was shipped across the country and, despite the carriers best efforts, still worked like a jem. If it passes the UPS / FedEx test in just the Fender box, I guess it is made well and should do fine in my care. I have a couple of gripes but will present them in "Sound". All hand wired (no IC boards) would have been nice but the basics are there.

This is a reissue amp and the world in 65 was much simpler. I consider it a major feature to just plug in and get great tone. If you need power windows and door locks, this amp is not for you. I read a review that stated that the manual was a joke. I guess it is in comparison, but the punch line is "what else do you really need to know". Plug in and turn on! Swim in the tube reverb, bask in the tube tone, vibe on the tube trem and just play.

EASE OF USE:
It doesn't get much easier than this. Turn it up to 6 or better and enjoy.

Your general opinion of this product. This 22 watt amp kicks. Use it for Blues, R & B, Funk, Country, Jazz. Outstanding when overdriven, excellent clean channel. Very warm sounding in the studio.
