General What is your overall opinion of this product? Let me first say that when I unpacked this thing and fired it up, I was a bit disappointed. Tested with an American Deluxe Telecaster, the clean tone was remarkable. The drive channel, however, was less than impressive - a bit brittle sounding and not as much gain as I would have liked. After fiddling with it for a few days (and once my wife went to work), I decided to crank this thing up a bit. MAJOR DIFFERENCE! This baby is LOUD, so it's hard to get the volume past 2 in the house without pissing people off. But once you get the master up to 3-4, the drive channel starts to come alive. Lesson learned: get a pedal for bedroom use. For gigs, I see this amp working wonders. **The only real problem I've had is that there is a loud popping sound when I switch from the drive to clean channel (and not the other way around). I've tried switching with and without the footswitch and it still does it. I will be sending it back to AMS for a replacement and hopefully resolve the issue.
A great investment.

Your general opinion of this product. I've owned it since 2003 (not the III though I guess). When I bought it I didn't know how coveted tube amps were. Hell, I didn't know it was a tube amp until 2 years later... I was playing an Ibanez RG through it, LOL!!! But I know Fender doesn't sound like Fender without Fender gear... Or so they say
