What is your opinion of this product?
For those that had a bad experience with a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe or HR Deville you must have received one with bad tubes or wiring (which is easily fixed in these). I have owned 3 of these guys over the years as a gigging musician, along with Marshall's, Mesa's, and Orange Amps all in search of that perfect sound and I can tell you unless your playing crowds of 1K or more most pros wants something simple that sounds great to drag out to shows over time PERIOD. Even owning the others above, all of which are Head's/Cabs this is my go to for small/med gigs and the same is true with every other weekend warrior musician I know. Fender cleans are desired by almost EVERYONE, and throw a tube screamer, WAH, and delay/flang in front of this and you can get everything from Ozzy, to Hendrix, Rage, Korn, to MJ and Britney Spears, not to mention Blues. The other thing boys and girls, it's DEAD SIMPLE and a 1x12 combo 40watts has enough bang to bring down a 10Ksf room without being PA'd.
This is a cover band guitarist dream amp I would even say based on simplicity and versatility. If you are new to TUBE amps, I recommend getting this and a silencer so you can have the amp cranked up (tubes hot) while listening at reasonable levels. This is actually a must if you live in a small place.
