I paired this with my Joyo Zombie II XL head to try something better that the 8” cab I was using. This Cab sounds 100% like I hoped it would. The Celestion speaker paired with the closed back really brought my little amp head to life! It sounds perfect at half volume with a distortion pedal in front. 10/10 rating from me

I truly haven’t heard a better sounding clean channel in years! The overdrive isn’t my favorite however that’s nothing a pedal can’t fix.

Great enclosure, terrible speaker

I bought this to go with a Tone King Gremlin head. I figured a fender speaker would pair well with a fender clone amp. The enclosure is quite nice. The speaker however is not. I did read the poor reviews the celestion 70/80 gets online, they are spot on. This speaker is so shrill I felt like my ears were going to bleed. It has a pronounced mid scoop. Instead of returning I decided I like the fender box enough ( and the reasonable price compared to others ) and bought a different speaker. After swapping the 70/80 with a Eminence Cannabis rex, it really sounds great.

This great sounding speaker allows me to either stack or separate my sound on stage. Stacking with my Fender Blues deluxe gives it a "stack" look. Separating the amp and extension speaker on stage allows better coverage for the rest of the band and for myself when I'm moving around the stage. And the lacquered tweed also gives it more of a vintage look. I would recommend this speaker cabinet to anybody. It's Celestion speaker has a great sound and handles all the power I need.

I got this to use with my Blues Deluxe Reissue and it's a beast! Beautifully made, it's a perfect match for the Deluxe and adds a great fullness & low end to your sound. If you have the Hot Rod Deluxe or Blues Deluxe, buy this speaker!

I purchased this cabinet to use with my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, which is a perfect match, but I also plan to use it with my vintage Fender Twin Reverb, and my Fender Duel Showman Reverb amp.
Although I'm sure the stock speaker that came with thi extension cabinet will work great for the intent and purposes it was designed for, as a pedal steel guitarist, I knew before I purchased it that this particular speaker wouldn't suffice for my use. With the pedal steel guitar being a very dynamic instrument, the stock speaker simply won't be capable of handling wattages much above what the Hot Rod Deluxe produces without breaking up (distorting) and possibly blowing the speaker.
With that as a given, the first thing I did when I received this cabinet is change out the speaker to a 1201-8 Peavey Black Widow speaker which is capable of handling higher wattages, and can also produce all of the dynamics the pedal steel guitar, which is similar to the low end produced by a bass. (unfinished)

I love the quality of crisp sound this baby puts out and with my Vox Night train Head it is exactly what I was looking for to make my shows much better sounding. So easy to move around too and the cover it comes with protects it better then my usual towel wrap job. Last but not least the price was great for the quality of product being so good for me.

Product Review
I bought this cabinet with the intention of beefing up my Hot Rod deluxe which it did. The combination of closed back from this cabinet and the open back of the deluxe resulted in a much more richer sound not to mention that at 4 ohms with the cabinet the amp seems to be more responsive to my playing. It also looks cool sitting under the Hot Rod Deluxe III. It not only sounds great with the Hot Rod but with my 30 watt PRS amp head, a Quilter 200 and boy was I surprised when I plugged in my Mesa Mark IV. Awesome little cabinet for the money. Thank you American Musical Supply.

This cabinet is amazing. Sound quality from the speaker from both highs and lows are flawless. I paired this with an Hughes and kettner tubemeister 18 and the sound is heavenly. I bought both from AMS and personally I am glad I did. The customer service is fantastic and the speedy shipping is worth it. Back to the setup now if your looking for a semi cheap cabinet that packs a huge punch this one will not disappoint at all.

Adding this cab to my tweed blues deluxe is a must. The sounds and tones are absolutely awesome. The cabinet is worth every penny of how it looks and sounds. I will say I was a bit disappointed when I opened the packaging(all new) and the speaker cable was missing. This is by no means the fault of AMS. These products are packed by the vendor. I emailed AMS and the tech support people are the best!
They responded quickly and sent me a brand new speaker cable within 2 days I was cranking my setup. I've been buying from AMS for a few years now., never had a bad experience. But all my thanks go out to the tech support people that I believe do care about their customers. Hats off them. Thank you.

Makes All The Difference!

Product Review
This extension cab makes all the difference in the world. The Fender HRD III is an exceptional amp in itself, but when paired with the extension cab, brings an added dimension that makes you realize THIS is the sound and TONE that I want.
The combination of the 12 inch Jensen C-12N speaker in the amp and the 12 inch Celestion G12P-80 speaker in the closed-back extension cab creates a deep rich tone while maintaining the "Blackface" sparkle Fender is known for.
Do yourself a favor and get this combo, you will NOT be sorry!

A nice, handy extension cabinet

Product Review
I had been looking for a 1x12" speaker cabinet for a while. I considered the Bogner Shiva extension (about $600) and the Marshall 1912 (also about $600). Even on the used market, the Marshall brings in excess of $300. I really didn't want to spend quite that much.
One evening, I found myself in a pawn shop where I discovered a Fender Deluxe extension cabinet for sale. It was in good condition and worked great when I tried it out. I negotiated a price with the pawn shop and took the little Fender cabinet home (sorry, AMS!). It is smaller than both the Bogner and the Marshall, but it's sealed back gives it plenty of low end. I have it paired with a THD Univalve and I love the sound. It's loud enough for the work I'm doing and has a nice, raw tone.
You could spend a lot more money than the price of this cabinet, but I'm not sure that you would be any happier than you would with this unit. If you're looking for a single 12" speaker cabinet, give this Fender a try.
