Product Review
I chose the custom 68 Princeton because it has a much warmer and rounder tone than the 65. Also, the reverb and tremolo sound better to my ears. It’s not quite as loud and pokey as my Pro Junior, but has a smoother breakup and fills out the bottom end quite well.
It’s built solid, and I’ve cranked it to ten without any noticeable buzz or rattle. It sounds great with my Vintera Strat, Epiphone Casino, and my Tele. Although I do prefer the Pro Junior with the Casino.
Overall I couldn’t ask for a better all-purpose amp. It’s loud enough to keep up with a loud band and sounds good enough at low volumes to use it at restaurants too. It has the Fender clean sounds I’m looking for and has a nice smooth and a bit “fuzzy” overdrive that I really enjoy. Just roll back the volume knob on your guitar and you get all the chime and sparkle you need.
I’ll let you decide whether to go with this or the 65, but I know I made the right choice. I play edge of breakup blues to all out rock and roll, with a little clean funk thrown in for fun. This amp is a keeper.

So I’ve always wanted a Princeton and decided to spoil myself during this quarantine. Super fast, and free, shipping I literally got it in one day. Due to a manufacturing defect in the unit, I gave customer service a call, they set me up w a return label and pick up time. Also they said as soon as it gets picked up to give a call and they would send a replacement straight away. So it got picked up, and an hour later I called and THAT DAY, they got another one sent out, which again I received the next day and it was perfect!! Great amp, amazing pedal platform, pristine tone, gorgeous reverb and trem effects. This amp truly lives up to all the hype!!! And thanks to the 3 payment option I was able to make my dream amp a reality. Thank You AMS??

Product Review
Last year I bought a Fender 68 Custom Twin Reverb, and its great, but I needed something similar in tone but more portable. I went to a local guitar store to try a 68 Custom Princeton Reverb. I plugged in a Strat, Tele, Les Paul Junior, SG...didn’t matter, no matter what went in, what came out was rich and pristine tone. Beautiful lush, but defined reverb. Distinct musical tremolo. Solid Bass and plenty of pleasing sparkle, no ice pick, even with the Tele on bridge, full tone up. Plus, it’s a solid, well built amp.
I was sold, but didn’t have the dough to take it home. AMS took care if that. After a simple process, I was set with 12 payments, and I had the amp in a few days.
Here’s the More part. This amp is so versatile. The Celestion 10-30 in this amp is great for home use and low volume situations with most guitars. However, crank it and put a Les Paul Jr. trough it, and wow, who needs an overdrive pedal? Need more volume? Run it through a 1x12 cabinet with a efficient speaker and it has more than enough volume to hang with a loud drummer. With the right speaker I t will stay relatively clean with a little volume induced dirt at the turn of a knob. I ran it through a Celestion V-Type and a WGS Retro 30, and both sounded great. Speaking of pedals, it takes anything I throw at it. Even my Eric Johnson Fuzz Face sounds great straight in. This thing is a tone monster.
So there it is. For the price, I’m hard pressed to find a better amp. For a way to get the gear I need, I’m hard pressed to find a better option than AMS.

This has become my favorite amp. The tone is amazing through the entire volume range. It is fantastic at low volume for those that want to play at bedroom levels. It breaks up nicely from 5 on. It takes pedals great. It is pretty light weight. Great for gigging or home use. I highly recommend it.

I'm not an expert on amps like some people... but I got this after having a hot rod deluxe for the last 15 years, and I love it. . I love the break up, and I love the way it sounds with my tube screamer. It just sounds the way I hoped it would. It was also alot louder then I expectrd.

The touch dynamics on this amp are amazing, it takes pedals better than a re-issue, the tone is warmer than the 65 and it has plenty of power for most small venues. I'm thinking two of these would be just the ticket for what and where I play. I highly recommend this amp to anyone looking for the Fender tone in a small package without the price of a hardwired amp.

The ‘65 Princeton has fantastic classic tone. But when you compare it to this ‘68, the warmth and grit give a REAL classic tone that you’re actually looking for. Fabulous.

Great Little Amplifier with a Huge Sound

Product Review
This is my second Princeton. I had a Blackface one in the late 60's I used at practice, it was a great little amplifier then. I have a Marshall Bluesbreaker and a Marshall JCM800 Half Stack but have been using a small Vox TV4 for a Bedroom practice amp. I needed a small amplifier with build in Reverb to use in my home and one to take to practice without dragging the Bluesbreaker out. This small Princeton had a Huge sound when you turn up and also a perfect sound at Mid Volume. First song I played when I received was "Pipeline" wow brought back some great memories from my old Band days. Can't go wrong with this amplifier, will work for all your needs..

Like a trip back in time to when tube amps ruled and nothing could compare to the clean crisp tone of Fender. If you are looking for that sound of yore then you won't be disappointed with this amp. Order it, spread some sand around, plug in your ax, and prepare to "have fun fun fun 'till her Daddy takes the t-bird away."

I bought this amp after hearing it live from a local band. It has everything one could want from a fender tube amp. Very touch sensitive. Roll the volume on you're guitar back and you get a great clean tone. Turn up and bask in the beautiful spender that we all know and love called tube break up. I find the volume on the amp at 3 1/2 to be the sweet spot. Also beautiful spring reverb that has a very unique rich tone to this amp. Do yourself a favor and buy this amp. You will not regret it.. I'm actually going to buy another one
