I haven't bought anything that has Fender on it and been disappointed.
Sound:
The tone is a sweet tube response. A whole lot more than I expected for a buck and a half. I can also dime(12 cents?) it in my apartment without disrupting the natives.
Reliability:
This amp won't see outside my apartment so ot will last a long time.
Overall:
I bought a Marshall Haze 15 and was rudely awakened of how LOUD it is. I needed something that I could play in my apartment that wouldn't make my ears bleed so I bought the incredible Champ 600.
Playability and Feel:
It dosen't break up as nicely as my Marshall but it definatly reacts to pick attack like a tube amp.
Tone:
crisp and bright in comparison to my Marshall.
Finish:
Two tone vinyl and velvetine grill cloth remindes me of a 1964 Buick but I can get used to it.
Action:
It has that classic Fender tube tone that I really like and it performs well.

Semi-Pro

Big Surprises Come In Little Packages!
Quality:
I play in a cover band on keys and guitar - it says to rate myself..haha I ain't no rock star but I consider myself worthy of it if the opprotunity ever arises. On with the review!..I have had this sweet little baby for a week. The the power switch, volume knob, and both inputs are very secure - no tightening here! The lone 12AX7 tube was firmly in place - likewise with the speaker cable. The cosmetics - handle and leather look beautiful. I am not sure if they used real leather but this baby can go in my living room. The best part was hitting the power switch and waiting for the tube to warm up - ahh that smell of a fresh tube!
Reliability:
I don't plan on gigging with the amp. Although I am curious as to how it would sound pushing a small cabinet. I have owned a few Fender amps that have not stood up very well - Blues Jr. and 65 Reverb. Tone wise they have always pulled through but I have had issues with jacks, reverb pots, and foot switches. Probably half the problems were because of the equipment getting bounced around. Again, I am not taking this baby anywhere - so it should hold up fine.
Overall:
I gave it all 5 stars. It is what it is - a nice 5-watt practice amp. Perfect for my small apartment. The previous reviewer recommended all sorts of mods. In my opinion with all due respect to the previous reviewer, it is fine the way it is if you are just looking to practice jam at home. There are always ways to improve things - I save that for my main rig.
Playability and Feel:
Controls are one volume knob that goes to "12" . Easy to get to. There are two input jacks - High and Low.
Tone:
Ahhh tone...ok..First I cranked this baby up to 12 and played with my '72 Tele Custom (stock pick-ups hum and single coil) through the High input. It roars and is very responseive to guitar volume and pick attack. Roaring you can get sweet lead tones and some nice thick rhythm tones. Dial guitar volume back down and it cleans up nice. I plugged in my Gibson Les Paul into the Low Input and using the same approach got some really fabulous tones coming out of the humbuckers. Surprisingly enough it cleaned up really nice when backing down on the volume. Both guitars carried nice tone - the only control you will have is via your guitar for this, but you can get a variety of tones from rock, country to nice overdriven rhythm chunk - again it is all in your playing style with these types of amps. I did hook up a TS808 and played around with the same configuration as noted above. It really took the pedal well. Even at lower amp volumes the tone with or without a pedal is sweet.

AMS comes through
Quality:
Second amp AMS sent works perfectly. I also like the fact that since it has a second imput I can plug in a microphone and sing and play at the same time, all with this small compact amp. This is a very versatile unit.
Sound:
The tone of this amp is fun, easy to get clean Buddy Holly sounds but I was looking for a little distortion and sustain like my Valve Junior. I ordered the Fender Champion 600 tube package on Amazon ($23.00)for both 12Ax7 and 6v6 JJ's.I'm not an electrician but I was able to replace the tubes myself and the JJ's give this little baby just enough 'spank' now, nice warm distortion and sustain and seems much louder. Just right for my delta blues on my Epiphone Es175(also purchased from AMS)
Reliability:
With the new tubes this is a daily enjoyment. Makes practice fun.
Overall:
I purchased this due to its great reviews but the first one shipped to me was defective so I shipped it back. AMS called me when they received it(Monday) and shipped me a new one which arrived the next day(Tuesday)!AMS stands behind you if you have any trouble!
Playability and Feel:
As part of my ascetic that cheap simple amps are better than massive stacks for delta blues, one volume control turned all the way up for bluesy tone is the way to go.On Youtube people also use this as harmonica amp.
Tone:
With the stock tubes a very light clean sound.Replaced with JJ's, warm dirty George Thorogood,Elmore James tones.
Finish:
This is a cute amp no matter how you look at it. Very 50's vibe and easy on the eyes. With the new tubes I think I'm in love.
Action:
Second amp, shipped overnight, works like a charm.

Outstanding-pedals or no pedals. You'll be surprised. I was.

This little amp is a honey. I have used it to record a couple of songs to post to soundclick, and they come across my simple set up sounding darn good.
Playability and Feel:
Playability...definitely using the volume control, this applies. Clean at 6 or 7, various degrees of overdrive up to 12.
Tone:
Clean Fender tone at low settings, smooth od at higher. What would I change? Only the grill cloth. Stock speaker delivers good tone for this price range. I also have a Epi Valve Jr. head; the Epi is not nearly as smooth sounding.
Finish:
Good job on the finish...look at the price. Beyond my expectations. Not wild about the grill cloth is my only complaint.

Very solid, put together well.

Great Fender tone without ear-shattering, neighbor-off-pissing volume.

This was a deal I couldn't pass up. When AMS put it on sale and tossed in free shipping, it was a no-brainer. Looks, sound, performance all excellent.
Playability and Feel:
It feels quite Heavy, Fast and Chunky, given that it has no neck. I tried to get to the controls while playing, but I use both hands when I play guitar, so no.

Fender tone. A great match to my Telecaster.
