General What is your overall opinion of this product? I owned a lot of Strats, and this looks, sounds and feels THE BEST! Finish was flawless, neck was superb, and the Birdseye Maple is gorgeous. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? Absolutely top of the line. Mine says Made in Korea, but I purchased from a trustworthy Fender dealer years ago when these first came out. It is a rare one, and I never saw another like it until this was posted on AMS web site. Has been my main go to axe ever since. So rare, GC wouldn't even give me an estimate as to its value for insurance, because they couldn't find it in any Fender catalog. Great guitar and great find if you can get one! Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Feels better than my American Deluxe Custom Shop Strat. No matter which guitar I bring to a show, this is the one that eventually gets played EVERY time. It gives me my signature Blues sound. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? Seymour Duncan pickups are the absolute best choice for this guitar, and I can get any sound or tone I want. Heavy, dark, or bluesy and snappy. This one does it all. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Flawless. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? Worth every penny. I paid almost $800 in 2005, and loved it ever since. I paid 3 times as much for a Custom Shop years earlier, and I sold that a few years ago. Never played it after I got this one. Playability How was the action out of the box? Perfect 10 years ago, and never changed. Still perfect in every way. Intonation has never been adjusted. Never needed to.
