Subject:
These are great guitars for modding.
Quality:
The frets were nicely rolled with no edges sticking out and the neck and abody have a nice weight to them. The stock tuners keep this baby in tune quite well and the 2 point bridge with the block saddles, is a added plus.
Sound:
I did some mods to it by taking out the stock capacitor and installing a Fender ceramic cap on the rear tone pot. I then put in some Texas specials in the neck and bridge and a Seymour Duncan 59 Humbucker in the bridge position. Now it's a lean, mean, tone machine which sounds awesome !
Reliability:
I got this over a month ago in a trade and it's held up pretty well.
Overall:
This is definately worth the price tag and is reccommended for either a beginner or somebody on a low budget.
Playability and Feel:
I like it.
Tone:
The stock pups were crap which is why I did the pickup swap.
Finish:
The Black finish is okay but, I took off the mirror pickguard and put in a Mint Green one along with the same color pup covers and switch & knob covers as well.
Action:
The neck is pretty fast on this guitar. But, I did have to do a full setup and intonation check.
Skill Level:
Semi-Pro
