Bass came delivered Damaged But AMS made it better !!

Well I received the Bass on 3/16/2006 then I took it out of the box one of the Machine Heads was missing(G). I found it in the bottom of the bag.. Needless to say I was mad Some Birthday Gift for myself. I called and WOW they were so NICE TINA was the best also Ericka and Brody. GREAT Cust Serv.. Sent me a UPS Lable and its on it way back... But Ive deceided to buy it local I dont want to change another damaged bass> But I would buy from AMS again

I love the Block Inlays on the neck
Sound:
Basic to me sounds like a Jazz Bass
Playability and Feel:
Feels good HOWEVER... I think the neck could be a little thinner. I REALLY like the Squire Classic vibe 60s Jazz. The Neck is thinner has the Dark Lacquer.. Looks SHARP !
Tone:
The sound isn't bad at all.. It doesn't sound like my Spector Bass But I believe it's the kind of wood that's used over all NICE
Finish:
The Finish was pretty good..but I think that the neck should have had more lacquer.. like the older models ..
Action:
could be a little lower..

Very well for the money.
Sound:
Now, if they made an Active version of it, it would be my only other choice.
Playability and Feel:
Very nice for an out-of-box experience. Just some slight adjustments to the string height and off I went.
Tone:
Well balanced, considering cheap passive pickups.
Action:
Was setup nice. Very few adjustments to make.

the duncan pick-ups are slick and the neck has super action!
Sound:
this bass is a funkmiesters dream
Playability and Feel:
easy to play when you dail in your tone
Tone:
depending on what you want, you can dial in some great tones
Finish:
the paint was great but my only problem was getting the dumb sticker and glue off the pick guard, I used wd40 to get the excess glue off, worked like a charm
Action:
out of the box I had to set the neck and string saddles but after that "WOW" awsome tone for such an inexpensive bass

I perfer the feel of squire bass over the famous brand. first the quality is there and the value maintained.

Sound and Style.. the sound is maintained and the look is all that it should be.
Sound:
tone is great with a majority of various amps.
Playability and Feel:
fits adult hands and has a solid feel when playing. vibration transfer thru the players body.
Tone:
made and will set up for the slap happy great range of tone. pickups work well with pedals and pre amps.
Finish:
quality all around.
dependable and reliable.
Action:
will need to set the action to suit the player.very flexable here.

Squier modified jazz

I've owned several American made Jazz & Precision basses and the Squier holds it's own with them.
Features:
Active electronics would be a nice addition to this bass.

I started on a precision bass 40 years ago so I like Fender style necks.Neck finish is silky smooth and fast.This is one of the heaviest basses I've ever owned.I guess the solid maple body is to blame.
Tone:
I dont have an amp yet so I cant coment on PUP'S or tone
Finish:
Finish was great but color was not clear as in photo's.Mine was more of a butterscotch.but I liked that

action was a tad high but no buzzing

This has got to be the if not the all time greatest basses squier has ever made. Award winning (Bass Player Magazine) for its price and sound. Its a Fender bass, dont let the other name fool you
