Product Rating What is your opinion of this product? Apparently now out of production, this is a stunning reincarnation of the Champ. I can't hardly believe how the amp is able to hold onto its sweet dynamics even at lower volumes. I can see why this is a recording favorite. The tremolo really adds to the tone even when it is just click on to the minimum setting and is a pulsing monster (maybe even too much so) dimed. The low power setting, unlike so many onboard attenuators, does not suck the tone out and the thing is build like a little tank. I can see these becoming collectable and very desirable in the years to come.

What is your opinion of this product? I got to be honest at first look i thought to myself this looks like a childs toy (because of its size NOT LOOKS) but after playing it...WOW ! It sounds like a much louder larger size tube amp.i waited 6 months to write this review and the amp is just great. Not much if any laquer on it but that doesnt bother me. This is my first amp with a weber speaker which is kinda dark sounding but in a good way. I play slide guitar open E with an Epi DOT with a pair of Gibson 490's and a Epi Les Paul Tribute with a pair of Classic 57's and the tone is just bad a$$.. One of the best things about the amp for me is the switch from 5 to a lower wattage- i live in an apt complex and i havent had one complaint yet...! Well worth the purchase...I will eventually change the tubes though but for now its just fine.

What is your opinion of this product? the closest thing to a time machine you can get . That being said, people that are use to cheaper amps with a million bells and whistles and just cheesy tones and effects will just not " get" this amp. Clean and dirty at the same time with just enough breakup at low volume. Amazing to record with and mikes up well. A foot switch would be nice but easy to find. Worth every penny. Not for the hobby guitarist.

What is your opinion of this product? Superb sound and loud for 5 watts. This is a thousand dollar tone so it is with the money. I was skeptical. Great distortion. No need for eq it's all your guitar they creamy warm tubes

Your general opinion of this product. I have to put this review into perspective. I have had a '57 tweed Princeton (real, not reissue), a 65 Deluxe Reverb (the real one, not reissue), and now have a '58 tweed Harvard. In addition, I have a THD Bi- Valve, that has a much more musical and adjustable attenuation system. When I ordered this amp, it was with the intent of practicing more, and not disturbing my wife. However, all did not go as planned. My first concern with this amp, is that they don't tell you that there is no way to turn off the cool trem without buying the footswitch. Most amps you can disconnect the feature at the amp, or turn it off at the amp. But neither the Fender, nor the AMS web pages tell you that one must have the footswitch to cancel this effect. That is poor customer service. Secondly, the amp should have more dynamic range with different guitars. I was disappointed with the tone while using humbuckers, just too dark.
