QUALITY:
This is a very high quality unit, but the parts buttons and knobs do feel a little cheap compared to their red series. But the red series is 4 times more!
FEATURES:
All of the features are great! I can't ask for anything better in this prices range. I just wish that the Phantom power button had an led on it to quickly see if it was on or off. Actually, I wish all of the buttons had led's. I like the tactile feel of the knobs. The vocals do sound sexy with this pre-amp!
EASE OF USE:
The text is too small to read. They could have used larger and bolder text. It's difficult to read with the bright metal brushed finish. I'm sure that over time, I won't be looking at the text and just tweek the knobs and push the buttons, much like shifting my speed transmission on my Porsche.
VALUE:
This is definitely the best value for this price range. I've pretty much tried them all from the cheap ART MP to the fantastic Mane | |

| For those who can't afford to purchase a high end preamp (over the 700.00 price point), yet don't want a low-level pre (such as the Blue Tube, Audio Buddy, or Art MP), this unit's killer!! I owned a Blue Tube and thought the VMaster would just be "better than" it but the VMaster literally blew it away, put it to shame, ate its lunch - get the picture. HIGHLY recommended. | |

| I just got this box in a couple days ago. I hooked it up, and WOW! I hooked a Rode NT1000 up to it and I've never heard anything more clear. I can monitor with no latency, so tracking a vocal is accurate. I had a hard time finding a pre-amp that was suitable for me, and after many weeks of thinking (and being on such a low budget), I decided to choose the Focusrite. I read some bad reviews on the original Voice Master, but I thought I should give this "new" Voice Master a try. I tried hooking up a pair of monitor speakers, and monitor earphones to each of the outputs and they all came out crystal clear. I'm one who trusts what the consumer says---not the manufacturer, and this piece is by far the greatest piece I've invested in for a while. I was thinking about buying a DBX, ROLAND, and an ANTARES, and I think I chose the right one.
