This pickup needs a preamp. So, when bying keep in mind that you're only getting half of what you need to amplify your guitar.

5 For 60 bucks not 1/2 bad.
SOUND:
Again, what do you expect for a $60 pickup? No its not a Baggs LB12 with onboard preamps. Get real.

OVERALL:
It's great for someone just starting out on guitar and wants some amplification of some sort. This will get you buy in a pinch. It's for someone who doesn't want to do any major modifications on his guitar as well and looking for a cheap but effective way to get some sound in the room. Get the idea?
