Best Acoustic Amp Ever
Tony from Ocala, Florida, USA
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Highest quality amp I have owned. Though I have never seen a badly built amp from any of the major companies. It feels rugged, and its nice the speaker is protected by a metal grate.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Built rock solid. My cats are not able to shred the metal grate.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Outstanding for my needs playing at a 300-400 seat church, with a conga player and bass player. This replaced my Behringer ACX450 45 watt amp, that could not handle the large space.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The white on black lettering makes it easy to adjust even in low light.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Tone is perfectly acoustic. I use an Epiphone Masterbilt mahogany/spruce all solid wood acoustic with a Fishman Rare Earth Blend pickup. At low or high volumes it never loses a true acoustic sound. I just drop the midrange as I get louder. Zero feedback at 40% gain and 80% volume, with my Blend dialed to about 80/20 mic/mag.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Very sleek black finish
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The knobs on this amp have the best "feel" of any other amp I have used. They "hold" their position and are neither too loose or too tight.
