I'm using the OCD with a Custom Strat through an Orange Tiny Terror and an Orange OR50...and I honestly don't think it's possible to get a bad tone with this particular combination.

Great Overdrive/Distortion Pedal!

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
You can tell it's great quality. And quite frankly, for $135 it's a steal. Most pedals under $100 are just like throwing money away. They sound decent and you fool yourself into thinking they're good. But, when you get the real deal, i.e. the Fulltone OCD, the value per dollar spent can't be touched.

My other guitarist has been using one for a long time. It's built like a tank, very compact and solid. Great quality!

I am elated. After buying and trying the EH Big Muff, English Muffn, Boss OD-3, Boss DS-1, MXR Zakk Wylde OD, and the Hardwire TL-2 I have finally found the pedal that sounds incredible in my rig. (I play a Gibson SG through an Orange Rocker 30 Head and Orange PPC112).

Best OD I've found.

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
This is the most well made pedal I own. I expect it to work every time I turn it on and it does. The protective circuitry also helps to avoid any problems with the wrong power supply.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
It has very sturdy construction. I've only had it a couple months but I can't imagine anything breaking.

This pedal is simply incredible. It goes from a near clean boost to complete distortion, and everywhere in between.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Controls are easy to use and have a great sweep and range.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
It all depends on where the tone knob is. All the way to the right it's dark and full. Turn it all the way to the left and you get a bright tone that is still just as full.

So much better than your normal big-name overdrive pedals. Worth the extra few bucks for the superior sound quality!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Simple controls, pretty much just leave it cranked all the way up and use the volume on my guitar to tone it back if I need to.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Bright and clear, picks up good harmonics that cheaper pedals do not. Several people have recommend pairing it with an Ibanez TS9, I tried it and actually like it better on it's own. TS9 adds "muddy" sound to it.

How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Makes a great addition to your 808 or ts9 tube screamer as it is it's own voice and adds a huge array of useable drive/crunch tones.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Very balanced overdrive with huge harmonic overtones-like a good tube amp and great touch dynamics: responds to your pick attack/touch: like a good tube amp--bear in--it gets dirtier--lighten up--it cleans up.

RF or no RF that is the question from FL

Great with small footprint for that valuable pedalboard space. A little more money than some other pedals but worth it.

Fulltone products are well made and customer support got back to me within 24 hours when I had a question on an MDV2 pedal via email.

Your general opinion of this product.
I play classic rock -60's -80's mostly and this pedal is well suited for it. It sounds great alone and plays nicely with other pedals to enhance your sound. I use this after my compressor pedal for overdrive currently before the distortion all though this pedal is capable of distorting...maybe not enough for metal heads but lots of versatility here.
Playability and Feel

Easy to dial up good instructions included. Works well on my power regulated Furman board.True bypass does not eat tone when off.

Well let me say after many days of looking for the right OD pedal, this one was the one I chose. When I turned it on,after a few seconds of getting my desired setting, I was in "Tone-Heaven". After a few minutes of playing I stopped and thought "OMG! Fulltone Nailed it"! If my amp could speak it would say "Thank you"! I will be buying more Fulltone products in the future! If you got the money buy one before the prices go up,you will be suprised what you get out of it for only $140 and some change!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Not sure this question is applicable to the pedal.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
As stated above, awesome tone! Thick, creamy, and chunky. I never really knew what people ment by "Creamy sounding" until now!It can give you some dark, thick sounds, but you can dial in bright, crisp, highs if needed.Again by using the LP-HP switch and the tone knob, you can thicken up or thin out your sound too, without getting harsh "tin-can" sounds as most of todays cheap OD's do.And it is a touch sensitive pedal, the softer you strum, even with the gain pegged to 10,note and chord clarity shine thru!Absolutely the best OD on the market today,IMO.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
I like it,usually other brands have to get real fancy and creative with their paint jobs to get people to buy them, because they suck in tone(I won't "name any names",you know who you are)! Fulltone does NOT need the fancy paint job, they kept it simple and passed the savings on to you by not doing it!Besides I'm not buying it for the looks,I bought it for the tone and it delievered Big time!
