Uber 410 great purchase...
Kg from Medford, OR
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Outstanding. Well put together, fit/finish work is excellent. No history yet, but GB in general has been top notch for me.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Best feature by far is the sound. It's a freakishly great combination of down and dirty low end with clean, clear projection ... handles the 900 tube watts (Streamliner 900) and my low B perfectly. It is loud and VERY responsive... you are in charge of just how much rumble or clear piano tones you want. Not 100% sold on the top mounted handles yet, but it rolls easy and the skid bars on the back are a great call. It handles like a smaller cabinet than it really is.
Sound
How is its Tone?
The Uber is VERY efficient... puts out a lot of volume while remaining really accurate and deep... no mushiness, no overhanded booming... just deep, heavy and rock solid tone. Bottom feeder heaven.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
I play in a rock/country rock/blues band with 2 guitars, slide guitar and a heavy handed drummer. The Uber 410/Streamliner combination is as good as it gets. Deep and heavy support with a clear and easy to hear/feel presence in the mix... I couldn't be happier.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Very flexible... if you make a change on your amp or bass, it is right there in your ears. The cab doesn't seem to color my sound choice...although I haven't run a bunch of amps through it. So far, the Streamliner is a perfect match, and the iAmp 800 pushed it well, although I do really prefer the tube/grind of the Streamliner.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Excellent finish. The metal/cloth mesh grill is very cool looking and seems much tougher than it appeared. Haven't had it out to gig yet, but I'm sure it will be solid.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Cabinet arrived in perfect condition. It's a cab... no set up needed.
