Quality: I own many Gibsons and quality is never an issue
Sound: Excellent
Reliability: Don't know had to send it back (See Finish)
Overall: Nice guitar and a good value for the money
Playability and Feel: Plays like a Gibson, sweet
Tone:
Finish: Finish flaw right on the front, it was not a huge flaw but it was noticable on a white guitar. I am not impressed with quality control at Gibson
Action: Action was Good, but not great.

Quality: This is a very well made Guitar
Sound: Beefy tone!!
Reliability: I have only had this guitar for a short time.Time will tell
Overall: A very fine Guitar
Playability and Feel: It took some time to get use to.The neck is real long and the bridge pickup gets in the way of my picking. But now Im used to it and just love the way it plays.
Tone: Dark and Smooth
Finish: When my guitar arrived it was frozen when I opened the case frost appeared everywhere. Over all the paint job still turned out great.
Action: The strings were laying on the frets when it arrived.I had to do some major adjustments and set intonation
Skill Level: Intermediate

Quality: first rate. American Gibsons and Fenders are the first choice of all players, all over the world.
Sound: Its a 5. Is there a 5.5 ? who are these "semi pro" folks that gave it a "4" LOL!
Reliability: Well, jimmy page , dicky betts , hugh summlin, john mclauglin, robert fripp, johnny winter and too many others to mention are are all performing with 60-40 year old gibson guitars. other than fender can ANY other maker of electric solid bodies claim that?
Overall: impeccable
Playability and Feel: its low fast and furious. if you want to set it up high to play slide go for it, cause it has a tune o matic bridge. thats what those are for people, to raise and lower the strings.
Tone: I love the firebird mini humbuckers. VERY hot and mid rangy. flat EQ range as with humbuckers but mid-range accentuated with some wicked mean bite. these arent like other mini HB's or the ones you can buy aftermarket. they have the output and attitude and bark of ceramic magnet types but with the detail and sweet singing quality of alnico 2's. very nice
Finish: a beautiful, brown laquer sunburst. is there anything better looking?
Action: microscopicly low
Skill Level: Pro-Rock Star

Subject:Great Deal on a Great Guitar
Quality: Very well made. Everything seems solid, including the tuners.
Sound: The tone is classic Gibson beefy tone, albeit not as beefy as a Les Paul, but beefy none the less. Great tone for blues and slide.
Reliability: The one I own now is new but the ones I've had in the past held up very well.
Overall: I bought this guitar as a "scratch and dent" special from American Musical Supply. I've looked and looked and cannot find a single scratch or dent. I'm not complaining, mind you, just much much better than I expected. The Firebird V is a great guitar. just think Johnny Winter, Allen Collins, etc.
Playability and Feel: The Firebird V has a fat neck, almost that of a 50s Les Paul but not quite as thick. If you are used to playing a LP, you'll find that the guitar seems to hang a little to the left. I guess it's because of the lighter body and heavy neck as well as the placement of the strap buttons.
Tone: Brighter than that of a Les Paul but still a good gritty bluesy tone.
Finish: The finish is great! Color and nitro finish are perfect.
Action: The action right out of the box was good but just a tad high for me. I have relatively small hands and don't like the action really high but higher than a lot of other players.
Skill Level: Semi-Pro
