The neck is fat and feels good for chords and lead work. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Pickups are hot and humbucking. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Natural wood finish looks great over time. Action How was the action out of the box? Action is good out the box.

Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Not too heavy, the neck is thicker than most other guitars I own (Tele, Strat, etc.) but I'm getting accustomed to it. If you can't get the sound you like out of this jewel, you can't get happy! The "6-way" switch of the twin humbuckers (broken down to single-coils and/or humbuckers to anything in between, neck-bridge arrangement combos) you can get more than enough tones and sounds out of this Gibson. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I looked it over top-to-bottom out of the case and it is flawless! Beautiful "Antique Natural" finish with the "Maple Fretboard" and it is extraordinary. Action How was the action out of the box? Had to adjust it down ever so slightly but after only a few minutes and a little tweaking I was jammin' away!
