A great mid priced guitar.
Quality:
Worthy of the Bozeman plant.
Sound:
Bright like a Mahogany guitar will be. I like J-45's so i was very happy to hear that.
Reliability:
Seems rock solid like every other gibson ive ever owned.
Overall:
I dont know what others expected from this guitar, but I was not dissapointed. I chose this guitar over everything elese even near its price. I wanted something a step beyong the Epi's and Washburns available (nothing wrong with those guitars) and narrwoed it down to Martin Gibson Taylor and Guild. The Gibson songmaker and The Taylor I looked at were superior to the other two. I didnt like the Martin at all. I wasnt expecting a handmade, limited edition Bozeman masterpeice for under a 1000 dollars. I was expecting a masterbilt epi with a little more attention to detail and better quality wood.This Gibson bears no resemblance to the epiphone. Its head and shoulders above that. Its a great deal.
Playability and Feel:
Very playable for an electric player like me.Low and fast.
Tone:
As i mentioned, this guitar is brtie. accentuated highs and high mids. If you must have boomy bass look at some rosewood models.
Finish:
I detected no flaws in the finnish. Wood is made from trees, they arent machine parts.
Action:
action was dynamite right ou of the box. Almost electric fast.

i do not believe this guitar was to Gibson standards

Sound was bright in the mids had a very loud low was not your typical Gibson Mahogany sound but was OK.
Reliability:
returned for a refund
Overall:
Very dissapointed in the workmanship of this guitar glue residue inside, splinters left on bracing, several flaws in finish quality was very dissapointing.
Playability and Feel:
Neck was fast.
Tone:
Tone was bright overall was a decent sounding guitar.
Finish:
Very dissapointed one of the main reasons i sent guitar back was due to poor finish had several flaws in finish nothing major but still flaws.
Action:
Was good right out of the box
