A lot of Gibson 'bang' for not a lot of bucks

Your general opinion of this product.
Overall this is an extremely well put together instrument...and with the 12 month option available there's no reason why you can't afford this quality Gibson.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Equal to my other Gibsons. A '66 Barney Kessel, '95 ES-5 Switchmaster, '08 Steve Howe ES-175, '11 Ox blood Les Paul Custom. I HAVE to keep it in it's case...if it's out then the chores aren't going to get done...you just can't walk by it and leave it alone. Everything from the neck binding to the gold plating just says $$$...in the car world you could say it's a Mercedes with a Chrysler nameplate and price tag.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Covers a little bit of everything. Once I got it out and tuned up I spent about three hours running through all the different configurations...if I'm not careful this could become my #1. A guitar for most every style of music.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Absolutely gorgeous. I went with the Antique natural. The flame is incredible...and oddly enough the back of the guitar is gorgeous as well...a honey mahogany that looks good enough to take a bite out of.
