Product Rating What is your opinion of this product? I have this pickup in a lp studio sprint run with 500k pots and coil splitting. It's a very clear articulate pickup with lots of low end and mids. It needs a little bit more treble to even it out, I think, but it sounds 100 times better and less muddy than the 57classic it replaced.

What is your opinion of this product? Installed in the bridge position of my Gibson SG Special worn finish to replace 490T pickup, expecting more bottom end and more output. Didn't meet expectations. I don't hear more bottom end and output is only slightly increased. There is a little more grit. Problem may be Gibson's printed circuit board with 300 ohm pots. Reviews on the non-quick connect Dirty Fingers report increased bottom end, output and grit but I'm just not hearing it. Yes, I have a few good all tube amps and a few SS amps as well. Overall, I think the 490T sounds better and I may look into a 498T, but at next string change, I will probably re-install the 490T, at least for the time being. May install the Dirty Fingers in a different guitar.
