Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Not a flaw anywhere on this LP. Gibson did it again, they sent out from Factory a very nice, super quality product.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I do not expect anything to go wrong with this Gibson, That is one reason I buy Gibsons...

First a big thanks to American Musical Supply's Customer Service Department. Another Perfect Transaction. A pleasure buying from these Guys, makes it so easy to own Quality instruments. I own a Standard and Traditional Les Paul and a Gibson ES-335 and an SG Standard, the LP and SG Standard and the ES 335 with the 60’s neck is nice but I much more prefer the 50’s neck profile. I purchased this Classic because I wanted another LP with a 50’s style neck for backup. This was a perfect choice. Great quality instrument.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
It Feels like a Les Paul.. Heavy and Solid...
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The sustain from this LP is perfect. It just Growls in the neck position and a sharp solid sustain from the Bridge Pickup. Without an amplifier the wood resonates so nice..
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
As I said, before not any issues with the finish or quality build of this instrument.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
This is the Best Set up I have seen so far. Perfect don't need to change anything. Gibson ES 335 and the action from the Factory Set up had to be a 1/4" off thee 12th Fret.. But this Classic LP is Perfect..

Made in the USA, it better be good, I see no flaws AA Maple top is what you pay for. I have only had this for a short while, so far zero issues.

Right out of the box, shipped on a 30deg. day, almost in tune. I let her warm up to room temp. tuned it and practically have not put it down. Completely impressed!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Plays like butter!
Tone

Some guys like the heavy pickups, 496R 500T, some don't, I love the heavy sound plus they clean up nicely too, did I mention I play Mesa Boogie?
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Very nice, even my Wife said it was "pretty"(ugh)! It's not pretty, can't be, it's a rocker!
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Perfect for me, I have some guitars slightly lower, 2mm, I am perfectly satisfied with the whole feel of this. I actually played both necks before I choose the 60's over the 50's The 50's actually felt better in my hand but that is because of my bad habits. The 60's neck makes me better.

Just got it, seems solid.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Great fit and finish, super hot humbuckers, beautiful flamey, figured top.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Great chunky 50's neck. Huge jumbo frets, the baked maple fretboard feels like rosewood. Its heavier than a 2007 classic that I used to own.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Hot, hot pups.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Beautiful finish. Figured top, nice cream binding (knubs on neck frets), and the new baked maple fretboard is dark: you wouldn't know it wasn't rosewood. The fret inlays are mostly pearloid, with the tiniest hint of green, not like the older classics which were GREEN.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Medium low action out of the box. I will be adjusting it slightly lower.
