Personally never had a problem with a Gibson guitar. I've owned over 20 this seems as as good as any I've had. I don't expect any problem with this one either. Roughly the weight of a moderate Les Paul (9 pounds my guess) Heavier than a Melody Maker or SG (also own) but a lot less than an average mahogany Les Paul. Good comfortable weight. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Not particularly bright or dark. Warm nice clarity and tonality, good for just about anything really. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Outstanding. Better than the one pictured IMO. Action How was the action out of the box? Fantastic, very fast.

I recall Ibanez Wizzard series neck with this neck. If you are looking for the 50's Les Paul base ball bat neck, try the LP traditional or 58's. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? P-90... enough said. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I wish it would be Glossy Nitro, but satin looks also just fine. Mine has arrived dent and scratched with gig bag torn down due to shipping. Action How was the action out of the box? Pretty high around 5mm on low E, 4mm on high E. Very easy to setup by lowering the wraparound bridge. Minimum setup is required.

Awsome. plugged it in right away.
