Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Extremely well-made. I can't vouch for dependability yet but it works perfectly every time I play it. Probably the best I've ever owned (out of almost 1900). Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Light weight for a Les Paul. Slim taper neck is a joy to play. The controls are a high point for this model! The new "clickstream" is MUCH less complicated and easier to use than the Dark Fire, which I also own. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Three are 10 different tones, mostly Gibson types with a nice acoustic sound and a couple that are a little more funky. Don't expect it to sound exactly like a Strat though. The Burstbucker 3 and P90H sound amazing as always. The Chameleon Tone feature does not hold a candle to a Variax, which is why I use this with a RackVax to turn it INTO a Variax. And it delivers. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Nice glossy finish. AA top is subtle but flamy at certain angles. Action How was the action out of the box? Nice low action right out of the case!
