Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The paint started flaking two weeks after I bought it AND AMS wouldn't return it, and actually lied about why I couldn't refund it. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Terrible. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Worst. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Sucks. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Sucks Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Paint is peeling Action How was the action out of the box? Bad

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This is exactly what the standard should be. Being the flagship of the Gibson les paul models this jewel has every option you could want minus strap locks but hey they cost about 13.00 to 20.00. I can live with that. Reliability How has it stood up over time? 4 weeks so far so good. This is my 5th gibson over the last few years and I have no worries on it not holding up. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Well put together (of course) although this was my third one mailed from AMS. First 2 had small issues with finish and I'm just picking when paying this much. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Since I have a classic custom and have owned other 60's necked pauls and 50's necks the neck on this one feels in between a 50's and 60's neck. Its just the right weight too. I did notice the first one I was sent was quite light and this one feels like a normal weighted les paul. The coil taps and controls all work flawlessly. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Thats the beautiful thing about this axe,you can have bright, snappy and dark all in one. Nothing but smiles everytime I experiment with the controls. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? A++ Action How was the action out of the box? Had to lower the action just a bit but the neck is just right and one big thing that I don't think is mentioned in the specs is it has a LOCKING bridge and stopbar. That is a BIG plus and seems to add so much more sustain.
Love it But !!!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? the goldtop face has a ripple in the wood. I'm surprised this got by the Gibson inspectors. not Gibson quality I expected. for the money a big dissapointment. Reliability How has it stood up over time? recently purchased Overall Your general opinion of this product. love the sound and playability but dissapointed in the face defect Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? plays so smooth. the neck is A1 all the way. set up just right. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I loved the ability to switch to a single pickup coil. a tone of it's own. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? the goldtop finish was great Action How was the action out of the box? perfect.
