General What is your overall opinion of this product? Quality is much better then in the past. It took hundreds of bucks to make my 1980 les paul play as good as my 2013 les paul. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? It came with a broken volume knob. I planned on speed knobs anyway. Setup was right on. Great for any style of music. I mostly play blues and rock, but my wife and I write also and it covers them all. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Its 2+lbs. lighter then my 1980. The new neck and fretboard are much faster and easier on the hands. With the new speed knobs the push-pull pots are easier to engage. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? My 1980 LP custom has three gibson humbuckers. Two dirtyfingers and a 496R, plus custom wiring. The new 2013 standard sounds better and covers the single coil sounds better. Almost as good as my Fender telecaster. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Mine was the AAA quilted maple top in tea burst. Every part of the finish is GREAT. No issues at all. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? Mine was a closeout paid $2450.00 for it. Almost got a Carvin. My wife plays a Carvin 5 string bass with a quilted maple top and it is perfect. My new Gibson is its equal. Playability How was the action out of the box? Perfect out of the box. Just had to tune.

General What is your overall opinion of this product? This is a well mad guitar. Top Notch quality! Whoever said Gibson has terrible quality control has no clue what they are talking about. About as good as it gets! Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? Quality is second to none. Was setup and in tune out of the box. Finish is perfect! It's not a one trick pony as you could play all styles of music with it. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Weighs about 8 or 9 pounds. The neck is great. Its not to big and not to thin. It fits my hand great without making it tired. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? Smooth and mellow. Great for rock, blues, and jazz. You could easily play some metal with it to. Just a jammin' machine. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Mine is the Ice Tea Burst. Could be any more happy! No swirls in the finish at all. Stunning! Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? A Les Paul at $3,000 is pretty much what you would expect. It was worth every penny. I'm sure they have other guitars in this range that are equally as good that you would like, but for me this is the best. Playability How was the action out of the box? Out of the box it was setup perfect and just a little out of tune. It came with a nice key chain, extra pack of strings, and a pick. The included case is very nice also.

General Your general opinion of this product. Just like the Les Paul I've always dreamed of owning (that isn't a '59) haha. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? A work of art. The craftsmanship is top notch. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Magical! There isn't a tone that can't be found in this. Crunch, blues, jazz, rock, metal are all there. The coil tap feature even let's you think for a minute you're playing a single coil. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Like looking at the hottest woman sitting in your favorite dream car!!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The product is American Hand made to perfection. It will last forever. General Your general opinion of this product. Well, its a beautiful guitar, however I am use to the non-weight releived guitars. The tone is much different and I can tell that Gibson tried to compensate that with the Burstbucker pickups. Have to put it through its test in order to give my true opinion. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Not sure what to make out it. With the guitar being wiegt releived, some of that classic sustain is gone, but it still sound sweet. Give me more time. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Excellent.
